Would it really be too much to ask for women's pant sizes (U.S. at least) to ever make sense...?

The waist was okay, but when I try on pants that turn out to be long enough that my feet don't even exit the cuff, just my toes are sticking out... I'm always left wondering what kind of freaky proportioned people these pants fit perfectly, as personally I don't have short legs. Yet in the past number of years I've bought "short" labeled length before that were perfect.

Sad the ones I tried today were so long, given how little they cost, but ah well...

And the whole idea of being long so you can get them tailored... As if the majority want to do have to do that.

And these today were bootcut... that would just make them less bootcut if you had to cut off several inches.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! I'd actually find such a program interesting. Or are you saying you need mental help? You're fine, I promise. Us eccentric studious writer types need to stick together. Remember, knowledge is power, and who knows when some historical tidbit might come in handy!

Something I don't understand...

Within the first few weeks after finding out our store was to be closed, we still got some shipments of stuff. Mostly I think it's the company's way of trying to get rid of excess stock by putting it in liquidating stores. Some of it was boxes of a random assortment from the next nearest store to the north, and probably for the same reasons. Much of it was extra stuff we had already had plenty of ourselves.

In addition to that, we also got in a bunch of stuff with special price tickets added to them, with a lower price than the normal ticket, which says something like "flash deal" on it. So there are, say, men's shirts I was looking at that were one of these days for $10, while the original tag, still on them, was originally priced at I think around $36.

Now the part I don't get... Some of this "flash deal" stuff is from, as proven by the garment label, The Limited. With a thin black line drawn across the name. Huh?? The Limited closed, right? We're not a related company... How the heck did we end up with some of their stuff?? I also today spotted a designer brand name (can't remember who) that had a similar label with a black line crossing the name out, and isn't a name we'd otherwise normally have.

I can say that this is one of the more awkward Easters I've ever had. But I do have something I plan to make into a video. Maybe tomorrow. On the subject of the horror of not one, but two, musical Easter toys that play Cotton Eyed Joe. Why?
