RIP Don Williams

Last member of the Williams brothers, pop singing quartet from the 1930s, Don, has passed to heaven at 100, joining his brothers Bob Williams (passed in 2003 at 85), Dick Williams (passed in 2018 at 91), and Andy Williams (passed in 2012 at 84).

They sung together on many radio stations in the 1930s. performed with Kay Thompson at MGM, then in their own nightclub, each brother had a great deal of solo work in TV and music, Don performed on Eddie Fisher's and Nat King Cole's hosted programs and performed at the Tropicana and was a manager/agent for other stars, Andy had his own show which won 3 Emmys and several certified albums and every year from 1962 to 1990 the brothers all performed on Andy Willaim's Christmas Specials, Bob performed in movies like Janie (1944 and Something In The Wind (1947), Dick did plays and was one of the top singers in TV commercials in 1960s. Now the brothers are all back together again, performing in heaven.

Don's twin sons, Andrew and David, both still alive, are the second generation of The Williams Brothers and have performed since their teen years.
