Zelda is almost legit too big. I mean I've played dozens of other open world games before, and Xenoblade X on Wii-U is just as huge...but Zelda just feels massive.
I guess it's because in Zelda there's the nagging feeling you're missing something. |

Oh boy, I can't wait! There's nothing better than knowing you can't find everything on one or even two playthroughs.

It'll probably take 100 hours to beat this game completely.

Bought the AVGN game and the 1st ever Azure Gunvolt on the Nintendo eShop.
Well, the AVGN game sure can be a pain. So far I've only managed to beat that futuristic leve with the "where did you learn to fly?" head as the level boss. Almost beat the ice level as well but the ghost bosses got the best of me. |

Don't know if anyone has any use for them or if they're worth much of anything, but I have a few Gears of War 4 game content codes (from Totino's pizza) if anyone wants them.

Same as it ever is. If you've played it on another system, there's no real diff.

Horizon: Zero Dawn. Finished the story last night. Now for my favourite part of open-world games - the side quests, collectables and clearing out the map.

I'm not sure if I want to play two similar open world games right after each other though. Real shame, but maybe I'll play Horizon around summer time. It looks fantastic. |

Yeah, I'm with you. I'll wait for it to go on sale. Mass Effect and Persona are coming up and those are gonna be huge time suckers for me, too.

I haven't bought it yet, but I put Quern - Undying Thoughts in my Steam wishlist. I'm a sucker for Myst games - used to watch my dad play Riven waaaay back in the 90's and was fascinated by it, though I had no idea what was going on until I had the brainpower to do it myself. Or at least understand what was going on and how to use a walkthrough.
My mac doesn't support most of the games - and Steam does not provide the third and fourth games (my favorite, excluding the existence save for that GOD...DAMN... SPIDER CHAIR!!!), so I saw Quern and was delighted. Given the atmosphere, the style of the world and puzzles, the music, the script, and the voice acting, I even thought for a moment that it was a Myst game even though they stopped a few years ago. Turns out it's just a Myst love-letter with some dusting in world exploration. I won't buy it yet, but man...I'll probably be sharing the experience with my dad, because the trailer impressed him. Wayward Sky also gave me some Myst vibes, though the story finale was...disappointing. If I want a son angry that he's not getting attention, I'll put colored pages in their respective books.

I also haven't tried Nier or Nioh yet, and Yakuza 0 is also something I want to check out.
I really hate it when they release all the big games so close to each other. Most people obviously don't have the time or money to play everything at once, so obviously some games wind up forgotten. Thank god most of these games will be on sale in 6 months though, so I guess that's a plus. |
