Rise was removed from Nick’s app. Possibly Netflix related?

From user Austin Shoemaker:

Apparently #RiseOfTheTMNT was removed for either rights, syndication, contracts and other boring stuff... I’m right now hoping the “contract” part is related to @netflix

Check out email from Nick here:

That seems to be a generic reply to whenever a show isn't on the app. It would make sense for Netflix to get the streaming rights since they're getting the movie instead of sending the movie out to die. Could also reach a new audience. I think it's very likely and it would be good for Rise, and for me since it'll be easier for me to stream.

"Rights issues?" Why would Nick not own their own show?

Same reason why HBO has limited time for some of their superheroes movies on HBO Max I guess. Bizarre contracts just so they can outsource to other streaming services to make more money?

If it showed up on Netflix I would probably actually watch through all of it.

I know it bombed, Nick, but that's a little harsh, isn't it, kicking it out already? lol How odd.

Could they be trying to force people to buy it to milk it for whatever money might be left in it?

You don't have to pay real money to watch shows on netflix.

It's not even on U.S. Netflix. I meant are they trying to push fans of it to buy digital downloads, or whatever DVDs might still exist.

Yes, we know you don't pay money for anything. The rest of us have morals, though.

I was just trying to find a place to watch this show. The art style is pretty interesting.

Nick would have licensed Rise to Netflix to make that movie. and who knows. Maybe Netflix would produce a new season of Rise exclusively on that platform. While Nick produces a brand new TMNT series. But I bet that one could be based on the Seth Rogen animated movie.

You know how some shows tend to leave a network and then getting a second life on Netflix with new seasons.

Eh, are we sure this is being made by any Netflix employees? I'd assume it's being made by whoever has worked on the existing Rise show... it just happens to have a distribution/streaming deal with Netflix.

It could be the same team that worked on the series. But since Netflix now supposedly owns those rights. They could bring them back for a new season of Rise if they so choose.

Here's another thing. Nickelodeon if they want to. Have a new TMNT Show that's made exclusively on Paramount+.

I really hope they bring back the same team for the show if that's the case. Cause they brought their A- game when doing the last four episodes and the those specials when it comes to the animation.

Is it a developmental challenge that makes you unable to carry on without berating this series any time someone praises it?

Well.

Whether you enjoyed the show or not, Nickelodeon basically considers it a bomb/flop, so they essentially did have a chance and they failed to capture an audience that satisfied Nick's criteria for success.

& that's reason to sh*t on every single post that speaks positively about it? This section has been an absolute disgrace thanks to the same 3 or 4 people trashing it to spite its fans.
