"Welcome to Marwen"

... is set to BOMB, projected to lose 50 million. Between this and "Mortal Engines" bombing spectacularly... what a rough time for Universal. Maybe more "Dark Universe" movies will save it?

On a side note, I had no idea that the attack the main character suffers that's in all of the trailers that he has to recover from... was a result of him cross-dressing? I wonder why they'd hide that from all the marketing.

Let's not forget the fact the movie was marketing all the sequences with the action figures. Then the actual live action stuff.

Also this is Robert Zemeckis's third bomb at the box office. He hasn't had a string of hits for years. I kind of wish we had the old Robert Zemeckis. The one who did the Back to the Future Movies and did Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Back in those days he was like a protege of Spielberg. His earlier movies had that Spielberg vibe to them. His movies now just don't feel special any more.

There was a time when he directed a couple of those CGI animated films that used motion capture. And many critics and people complain about those because of the uncanny valley nature of them. That's where he went down hill from here.
