Tmnt done in the style of Metal Gear Solid, good idea?
Title says all.
Would you like to see an incarnation where the turtles go on secret operations against terrorists and large organizations using a blend of traditional ninjitsu and modern combat? I could see this being done, seeing as how Solid Snake's origin also has genetic engineering involved and has alot of stealth/close quarters combat like tmnt. In a metal gear inspired version of tmnt, the foot could be a guerilla organisation with a greater emphasis on their illegal activities like assasinations, drug trafficking and so on while the turtle are mercenaries hired to take them out. |

Oh yeah sure, I would love to have Dark Leo ramble on for an hour about how the threat of nuclear war is somehow connected to genetic engineering, after the hour long ramblings from April doubting wheter or not she wants a military career because her uncle Augie had one, also Augie is her real dad. And heck, why not have Baxter Stockman talk about mecha anime as his inspiration for creating the MOUSERS?
And let's not forget Agent Bishop turning out to be an AI built by Hamato Yoshi to control the masses through staged terrorist attacks. That will take up the majority of the series to explain. |

Not familiar with that other than vague recall of the name.
Although where Quote:
It has crossed my mind as a future for them if 'out' and known (and accepted) to authorities and goverment... Like a special unit of Green Berets, Turtle Special Ops. |

Depends on what kind of game we're talking about. A Kojima style game, maybe not, love the guy's work but I don't think his style would fit the Turtles.
As for implementing the Stealth system, I'm sure a team of good writers and developers could make a very interesting game using the Fox engine from Metal Gear Solid 5. But, a slow paced stealth system from previous game would most likely end up making things go dull. You have to balance out the stealth and action and make the stealth fun and engaging to use. |

OK, I know you're not allowed to respond for a week but seriously, what the hell? How do you get superheroes out of Metal Gear? Are you only familiar with Rising (even that's a bit of a stretch) or do you just not know what Metal Gear is?

You misunderstand. I was saying the idea of turning the Turtles into MGS stealth type characters with the OTT drama of those games is as bad as the PD movies turning the Turtles into superheroes.
