That's not her original. The comics came first, & in them, she was a scientist. Do your homework.

Both work for their different interpretations. I prefer the college grad from IDW though.

I'm just amazed at how April went from being brunette to a red head as her definitive hair color in all incarnations.

In the 80's and 90's April was always a brunette or had dark hair no matter which series (Mirage, original cartoon, Archie, movies), but ever since the 2000's she became a red head (4kids, Nick, IDW, new movie)

There's nothing "technical" about that. Perception is reality, but that doesn't change facts. She was originally a scientist.
