Is this DVD still slated to come out on September 12 as planned?

When the DVD comes out, i'll make a new discussion thread for it as it's going to be full of spoilers, I will also do the same for the Monster arc probably when the DVD is released in Australia on September 6th, as we do have some Aussie fans here.

God I hate seeing the models for the FW turtles, they're just so creepy to look at. That fistbump shot reminds me of that time travel scam episode of South Park, looks like Leo meeting his overweight, cocaine addicted self from the future.

Are 80s Shredder and Krang making negotiations with B&R while having coffee together?

I can see a spoon and a cup in the first pic.

The turtles look pretty accurate to the FW, I mean they're a bit too big and have some minor facial differences but look look pretty good.

When these crossovers were first revealed, I instantly thought the Mikeys would get along the best but to my surprise, it seems like my favourite turtle, Leonardo has the best synergy between his two versions.

I love that pic of 80s and Nick Leo fist bumping.

I love the FW 3D models, but if anything, I think that its 2k12 Leo who looks creepier in the fist bump pic I mean, just look at his eyes, how intently he stares at his counterpart instead of focusing on the fist bump

I don't think it's meant to be creepy just think he's supposed to be making eye contact.

Shredder is looking pretty fantastic in the 3D model. As does Krang out of his body.

It's just a music video they were working since last year starring Greg Cipes:

Okay, so at least the release date is the same.

Love the pic of the two Leos fist bumping. Just so cool.

the 2D animation in that screenshot is glorious.

The technodrome in 3D looks beautiful.

This will knock Turtles Forever out of the park for sure!

3 episodes long, the Original voice actors, animation that looks EXACTLY like the original cartoon, what an amazing way to celebrate the FW shows 30th anniversary.

I know I shouldn't be watching those screenshots but I just can't help it.

Love those pictures. That Mikey shot with ICK is adorable, 3D Technodrome, the 2D animation feels like the old days, that ad is hilarious and the music video seems like fun.

I feel the same way. It feels like they're pulling out all the stops for this season. I'm looking forward to all the craziness in the remaining two arcs as well.

There is a review of the DVD on DVDTALK

Quote:
"Wanted: Rocksteady and Bebop"
Spoiler:
debuts here as a extended 60-minute special, but will be aired in three parts during the next month or two. This story picks up where "Trans-Dimensional Turtles" left off, kind of: the 2012 Turtles are once again reunited with their 1987 counterparts, along with Shredder and Krang (all voiced by the original actors, save for the late James Avery), while 1987 Rocksteady and Bebop (Cam Clarke and Barry Gordon) are left in their own dimension. Naturally, Shredder and Krang enlist the help of 2012 Rocksteady and Bebop (Fred Tatasciore and JB Smoove) to re-power the Technodrome, and it's up to our eight heroes to stop them. This is a decent episode with plenty of fun gags for die-hard fans to pick out, although it goes to the "1987 is corny" well way too many times and barely accomplishes more than "Trans-Dimensional Turtles" did in one-third of the time. It's also got a music video tacked on at the end, which feels awfully out of place during an episode that repeatedly dogs the 1987 Turtles for being lame.

Please put it in spoilers.

edit: Thanks for doing it , I'm always keen to spoil myself but others might not like it.

For those who want a list, here are a list of spoilers from the review:

Spoiler:
1.1987 Bebop and Rocksteady are left stranded in the 80s universe while Shredder and Krang go off into the 2k12 world, so I suppose they don't appear in 3D

2.Shredder and Krang hire 2k12 B&R to help them repower the technodrome just like they do in the old cartoon.

3.The Ice cream kitty music video is actually a part of the crossover, appearing at the end but is also included as a bonus feature for those wanna watch it seperately.

4.The crossover is not story heavy and is barely more than TransDimensional Turtles in terms of the plot despite being 3 times as long.

5.There is alot of humour about the corniness about the 80s series although I'm not worried about it since some people said the same thing about Transdimensional Turtles and I found it just fine.

@ninja-guyver

Thanks for the link.

Spoiler:
It's a shame to read there are problems with the image quality. If there's one thing I don't like is underwhelming contrast/seeing way too much gray. The music video on its own looks much better than the episodes themselves.

There's simply no excuse for this.
