It still has another 170 million before it even beats Man of Steel... 370 more before it beats BvS. I see it ending about neck and neck with Man of Steel, but a good margin better than MoS domestically.

I'm only talking domestic. I don't try to make sense of international markets.

Gal Gadot was paid way less to do WW than Henry Cavill was paid to do MoS.

Better change before the sequel. Hopefully she didn't sign too rigid of a contract.

You also have to imagine that test audiences are going to be much more receptive to her than him (and most of the other cast members) when Justice League gets closer to completion.

Almost certainly a multi, multi picture deal that locks her at whatever was agreed for a good while. Probably after WW 3 and JL 1 and 2 she can negotiate a new deal.

I wonder if Chris Pine's performance in this will boost ahead the decision to make Star Trek 4.

And yet entirely likely.

Now that I'd understand. Chris Pine has actually led big budget movies before, all by himself. Successfully, in most cases. Gal Gadot's never even come close before to being the lead in a movie. And they've got fairly close to equal screen time in this.

I wonder how many people would be whining about equal pay if Chris Pine got less because gal gadot was the bigger name.

It's pretty simple. the money goes where the bigger name is.

If Jimmy Olsen was Chris Pine and Superman was Bob Gridget from Oklahoma, guess who gets paid more?

you also have to understand superman is a FAR bigger draw to most people than WW..who only has this one movie to go on.

Vegita "Women are the problem" San vs Plastron "Men are the problem" Cafe

I still can't believe Justice League comes out this year, I need to catch up on SS and now WW, maybe re-watch BvS.

Vegita-san has been trolling about women, feminism, etc. for months in nearly every thread he can. Look through his post history, people have told him off about it many times but he still continues.

Men aren't the problem.
Patriarchy is the problem.

I like men just fine.
Hell, I like them more, and think more highly of them than most anti-feminists do.

But let's be honest here, there's no reason why the titular character of a movie should make less money than their co-star. Charlize Theron was a bigger name than Tom Hardy, and I wouldn't expect him to be paid less for playing Mad Max in Fury Road.

That movie totally should'be been called "Furiosa's Revenge"

HA! Truth.
Though...she wasn't gunning for revenge.
Spoiler:
She was just trying to get out. Get home.
It was Max's idea to go back.

Don't get me wrong, Furiosa is an amazing character, and I love her to bits,
but this is still Max's movie. It's his journey from broken to mended.

I loved Chris Pine in WW.
It might be the most charismatic I've ever found him, and he's damn charismatic all the damn time.

But the story is still Diana's, and as such...she should be making the same amount of cash as her co-star. No matter how pretty he is.

Gal definitely should be paid more. Regardless of who had more screen time or who's a more famous actor. She's the star of the film. It's essentially her movie. And it's her likeness being used in all the advertisements and merchandising for the film.

I don't think so. He's the same character he was in the beginning. If anything, he's learned that it's cool to help people... again? For the third time in the series? It's like the Han Solo "I knew there was more to you than the money!" thing over and over again, except "survival" instead of "money."

He goes from being utterly nonverbal and entirely reactionary in the beginning of the movie two verbal and altruistic at the end of the movie.

I think that's a bit different the being an egotistical coward.
