Even if they sell well and and remake others like Casey Jones, they will probably not paint them correctly either. I mean these are what $10? You can buy the originals lose/complete for $10-20... just my thoughts.
Toys R Us wants $12.99 when they're not on sale.

I live between GB and Appleton. I've noticed a few people with WI in their location around the boards.

Looks like they are planning more retro classic turtles. I was hoping they would release Casey Jones, Slash, Rat King and others before adding skateboardin Mikey and football tossing Leo.

Turtles sell better? Maybe they're right.

I can't say why April isn't being reissued. But as for the others, it is reasonable to assume that they are using the original molds for these figures. (My understanding is that a set of master molds can cost tens of thousands of dollars to create.) Chances are good that they may not have all of the original molds which will limit which figures they can produce economically.

I wish they would release Scratch and Hotspot to drive those prices down. But based on how they are handling paint, Hotspot won't even be a Dalmatian.

I think you have a good point here. I know most toy companies destroyed a lot of their old molds because it wasn't cost effective to pay to store them. Hasbro openly admits that what wasn't damaged or lost over the years for their GI Joe line were destroyed back in 2008 time frame because they didn't want to pay to store them.

I get that, sure, but of all the turtle variants out there, this is what they start with? Not Movie Stars, Storage Shell, Head-Droppin', Mutations, or anything else iconic that happens to coincide with modern variants? Seems stupid.

You've got me man, you know I'd not be doing things like this if I was in charge over there.
Baxter, Leatherhead, & Metalhead would be on the top rerelease list from the 80's line after Bebop & Rocksteady.
T.D. Tossin' Leo isn't really a bad idea with Football season among us.
But I'd put out things like Undercover Don, Space Hoppin' Raph, or Leo the Sewer Samurai before any other TMNT variants.

But I'll say it's as simple as Playmates and who they have in charge.

Playmates makes lots of questionable choices and some how still profits...

Also on the toys r us site they claim the retro turtle figures are $12.99 retail, but always on sale at $9.99. I've been tempted a few times to buy an extra retro mikey to keep a spare set of standard chucks, but now I'm just tempted to chain mod mine and call it a day.

I always enjoyed the wacky action variants when I was little. You could twist those things up so tight they'd spin like crazy. LOL.

Popped in at my local target today just on a whim. Found a fresh case and got myself napoleon and monkey brains. This was Milwaukee area Wisconsin

I need to find another stockman fly still... My dog chewed his packaging and I like them crisp.
