Mondo Sixth Scale Mirage TMNT Figures

http://toybox.io9.com/mondo-is-makin...rtl-1715132916

Thoughts? Looks like a great sculpt, although I'd like to see a little more artic - double elbows, rocker ankles, toe/mid-foot hinges etc. But to me it looks too similar to the NECA figure, and whilst it'd be cool to have the Turtles in 12", space and cost concerns (probably $100+) means it's a likely pass.

If i had the money i'd buy it. But like you said, i would like to have a lower price point. Same reason i passed on the Krang.

That looks REALLY good.

Ballpark, how much can we expect that to cost?

Not sold in sets + B&W variants x Mondo shipping = $$$$$

If nothing else, I'd love to just get Leonardo. I like the scale, though it's a bit of an odd decision, I guess. Either way, we've never had big ass Mirage figures, so it appeals to me. Cool to see they come with alternate heads, though I doubt I'd use them much, if ever. I look forward to seeing the other brothers. If they can be more distinct than NECA's, I may be convinced to get the full set somehow (if only as smaller figures, assuming they're still doing those).

These are being discussed in the SDCC thread since they're exclusives. Other sites are reporting that one of the accessories is a blue mask. Toybox is the first to say it's actually an alternate head. Guess we'll see. Can't wait to see the other turtles.

From MondoNews Twitter feed.....the Leo will be on display only at SDCC....pre-orders up at a later date

Everyone can relax now....not an SDCC exclusive.....and I guess that means this thread can stay to discuss the line

Perfect. I was trying to convince myself that I didn't want the blue bandanna or accessories that might have been exclusive for SDCC.
They did a Deluxe Limited Edition of the first turtle though. Do they have text/email alerts for when it goes on sale or should I just make a twitter account?

Phew. I'll wait for shredder and Casey. IF the line makes it that far before canceling.

I think you'll be disappointed. If someone from Mondo threw out the guess of "around $150," then it'll probably be in that ballpark.

The thing I don't understand is why the Utrom and other things are so small compared to the TMNT & Mousers.
The Utrom will go really well with the 6 inch figures though so I won't complain too much.
Whoever the Utrom comes with is probably who I'm going to buy.

Yeah the scale is off on those for sure. Maybe they will do another mold and scale it up a bit. It's still early so I'm assuming they have that flexibility. Do we know if the utrom will be an accessory for one of the turtles? That'd be cool

How big are Utroms suppose to be? I don't remember but it looked pretty in scale with 1:6 Turtles in the picture.

Let's assume for a minute that that little pile of accessories are actually pieces that really do come with each turtle and aren't hints at upcoming figures. If so, which pieces come with which turtles?

I would think this:
Leo - pre-mutation Splinter & grappling gun
Mikey - Mutant Pizza & Baby Turtle
Don - Blaster & Utrom
Raph - Casey Mask (probably fits on the extra head) & Shredder Gauntlets

The extra baby turtles probably goes w/ either Leo or Don given the color.

I'll just say, those that want 1/12 scale comic turtles, buy the bootleg NECA turtles. Those seem to be what youd wabt given price, space, etc. 1/6 scale fans deserve this opportunity to finally grab these. I know a majority here prefer 1/12 scale as you can display more, cheaper, etc. But there is actually a HUGE market for 1/6 scale. Guys like me have been dying to own 1/6 scale tmnt that actually look good (not including Bay turtles by TZ). I'll gladly pay for $150. These will more than likely end up being worth much more like the playmates statues. The 1/6 collector community generally has a lot more $ to spend and will pay these prices now and later. So if you like these, have the funds, have the space but are on the fence, grab one. You will have something that can be an investment.
