I have a gorgeous Technodrome on Ebay right now. Had this for about ten years and cut the tape just a week ago to verify everything was sealed and untouched inside. Box is amazing. Could easily get an AFA Q85 grade if submitted to AFA. Would for sure get a Q80 grade

I'm not sure what the most anyone has paid for that particular minifigure... but in the 200 range is probably possible.

Huge waste though since you can get a bootleg version which is ALMOST as good for pennies. Sure it's not the real thing, but with the amount of money you'd save, does it really matter

I love LEGO, and I love collecting exclusive minifigures. But convention exclusive minifigures are insane prices in the aftermarket. But there's almost always bootleg versions made of the exclusives eventually, sometimes you can get them for only $1 or 2 shipped.

I know they're old news by now, but if anyone missed out on those Build a Bear Turtles, this is a pretty awesome price for two of them (Leo and Mikey) compared to what they were each originally selling for, even with that shipping.

I'm getting questions about whether they are soft-head, and I'm not sure how to tell the difference. Is it just lighter bellies?

I know I need better pictures; I'll see if I can add some from a better phone.
If I post close-ups of the heads can anyone tell if they are soft-head?

1 this belongs in the BST section. yes, you cant post till you make posts to show your active and contribute to the community. why not engage?

2 those are hard heads. the soft head had a brighter yellow plastron and a dull colored head. the hard heads had a shiny mustard yellow plastron. you can also look around the head, look for a seam where the 2 molds came together in the injection. the soft heads did not use this process. the heads are also shiny plastic. definite hard heads

what you have there is a set well into their production years since they dont have the "join the fan club" message on the back. even after they switched to hard heads they still had some "fan club" cardbacks that they used up before going full hard head 3 of the 4 are unpunched but have major bends in the cardback. not a bad set but if i were you i would consider lowering the price a smidge. i would research "sold" listings on ebay to see what people are paying GLWS

Thanks for your insights. I'll take a hard look to see if they have seam-heads. I may need to just let them live in their cases for awhile until I can get better pix and set a more standard rate.

Where is the best/most appropriate place to post a warning about a bad eBay seller on here?

I saw an auction for an issue of the IDW run I was missing for a good price (buy it now) so I took the bait and bought it. Paid right away with PayPal. This morning I find the payment was returned, no explanation given. So I sent the payment through again along with a message to the seller asking what was going on? He refunded that payment as well, and then canceled the transaction as unpaid. He claimed to eBay that the item was damaged or no longer available and immediately relisted it for double the price. Needless to say, I'm pissed. I've already reported him to eBay. But as he seems to be mostly selling TMNT comics, I thought I should also warn those around here and other TMNT communities that the guy should probably be avoided.

Ran across these French listings and thought they were kinda cute in a way. In particular I sort of actually like the mix-up with Leo and Mikey, as Mikey looks kind of proud of himself with that sword and pizza in hand (borrowed to cut it?) and poor Leo just looks sort of confused.

That was a good deal, but most Turtles fans have them already from when they were newly released in the mid 90s.

I did not expect it to be so hard to get a legit neca mirage turtles I know there old now but I rather have them then the knock offs since I have the foot clan Nycc exclusive shredder and rather complete the set. Has anyone seen a recent listing for them.
