The Hamato, Oroku, and Tang families
This is a discussion on the feuding families of the Mirage comics. The Oroku family seems to be large, as shown by the funeral of Nagi. The most noted members were Saki, Nagi, and Pimiko. With the death of Tang Amaya, the Tang bloodline seems to have vanished, but what happened to Hamato Hana? Shouldn’t she have received closure on the family feud? And there was also at least one member of the Oroku family seeking vengeance on the Turtles from outside the Foot, in “Cold, Cold Ice”. Will they ever be able to put a final stop to the feud, or will it only come when the Elder Oroku passes on?
The feuding families being explored is what makes Mirage rather compelling in its cycle of vengeance story. Though the Turtles think they have closed the loop, along comes Pimiko, and then after that the feud continues from the Elder Oroku. Cycles of vengeance may take decades to truly end, as the Elder Oroku proves. |

Mirage is what happened.
Chalk her up to yet another unfinished storyline of Tales of the TMNT Volume 2... But hey, at least we got "Adventures in Bunny-Sitting" instead, right?

Andrew Modeen didn’t pick her and the Elder Oroku up either. Maybe as a future backup...?

Can we admit that Tang is a funny name? Especially for a character involved in a love triangle.

The name Tang isn't funny at all. Not only is it a Chinese name, but also the name of a whole entire Chinese Dynasty. But yeah, out of context it can be seen as odd in other cultures.
