So the Foot Clan were in fact confirmed:

Origami Ninja “The Confetti Commandos”

The Foot Clan is a group of evil ninjas bent on taking over New York City! They have the power of teleportation through hidden gateways and the ability to create and control Origami Ninjas.

It seems the Origami Ninja's are created by the Foot, but the Foot themselves are human. It's pretty obvious we'll see Shredder either by the mid-Season 1 finale or by the end of it.

I'm definetly surprised that they decided to make Splinter a human in his pre-mutation life once more, I was expecting him to be a rat after two cartoons already took the human approach.

I guess that was to be expected, considering Baron Draxum's main goal is to turn humanity into mutants.

So I guess Splinter, pre-mutation, is injected by an oozesquito and turned into a rat mutant? Do the oozesquitos carry random assortments of animal DNA? So then how did the Turtles originate? Was it accidental or intentional?

Why not just use Tengu Warriors?

Splinter/Turtles mutations likely happen long before Baron Draxum exists. Especially if they keep the fact that the Turtles are 15 and Splinter and them should be mutated for that long.

I don't think Baron Draxum has anything to do with their mutations....

I feel like people are a little too worried about this....I think it sounds fun so far~

Personally I don't mind changes much as long as it's done well, plus the art style is bright and energetic! I'm just hoping it's not Flash animation (I don't usually mind Flash like MLP but for an action show I like the animation to be more loose)

I can see why some of you guys are cautious about it but, I feel some complaints are getting a bit nitpicky imo.

I get that everyone loves TMNT here but I feel some changes deserve a chance at least. If it stinks then you can dish out the "I told you so" but if it doesn't then it's a pleasant surprise~

Leonardo will become the leader, its already been more or less said in interviews and alluded to. The question is when...I think probably right before the end of Season 1 at the latest.
