I just saw this news, and uncontrollably yelled "OH MY GOD YEEEEEEEES!" I didn't even think of him for this role, and he will be amazing. And this better mean it's being spun off to his own show.

Holy crap. This is perfect casting. Plus it's awesome that they're bringing Punisher into the mix to begin with.

I didn't know who he was until you mentioned Shane. Now- yes. Perfect choice, now that I think about it.

Was it wise to kill off Ben Urich this early in the series especially since his comic book counterpart is still ticking.

Yeah, I thought that was an interesting choice as well.
Certainly surprised the heck out of me, that's for damn sure.

Curious to see where this goes...

Wesley was not a surprise but the way he did was. The Owl's dad Leland Owlsley I get as well as it sets up a rival crime boss with a grudge so I get that as well.

I am concerned with the overkill of costumed heroics with Punisher, Elektra, Bullseye, and Mysterio if not others showing up all at the same time considering the slow pace that worked well with the first season. I am most looking forward to Mysterio as he is the villain I most wanted to see show up in a Spider-Man film next. It also showcases the shared universe of Marvel with his appearance.

This is what I like about Netflix' Daredevil the most, the choreographed fight scenes are fantastic.

Huh. Interesting rumor. But isn't Mysterio much more of a Spidey villain? I mean, a guy who casts illusions isn't going to be much of a threat to a blind guy:

Maybe they'll adapt the Guardian Devil storyline?

Quintin Beck was thought to be dying of a brain tumor so he wanted to pull one last huge crime and get revenge. For some reason I am unaware of Spider-Man was out of town so he decided to enact his final act of revenge against Daredevil in Spider-Man's stead. In the end Mysterio committed suicide rather than be caught a final time in front of Daredevil. It was later revealed to be a ruse to escape and Quintin like most comic book characters got better after a few years passed.

Mysterio thought it would be better with a second-rate villain and a second-rate hero duking it out since Spider-man had become a A-list hero

Elektra is coming

Elodie Yung (“G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “District 13: Ultimatum”) joins the next season of “Marvel’s Daredevil,” streaming only on Netflix in 2016!

Yung will play Elektra, a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock’s past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle. The first season of “Marvel’s Daredevil” made reference to Elektra, but now Yung will portray one of Daredevil's fan-favorite characters. Elektra marks the most recent major addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as she will join Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle in the upcoming season of the Netflix Original Series “Marvel’s Daredevil.”

“After a worldwide search, we found in Elodie the perfect actress to embody both Elektra’s impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity,” said Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “Paired with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for.”

“Marvel's Daredevil” is Executive Produced by Doug Petrie (“American Horror Story,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”), Marco Ramirez (“Marvel’s Daredevil,” “DaVinci’s Demons”) and Drew Goddard ("Cabin in the Woods," "Lost"), along with Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Marvel’s Jessica Jones.”)

"Marvel's Daredevil" is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios. Season one of “Marvel’s Daredevil” is now streaming on Netflix.

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero “Daredevil” in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City. "Marvel's Daredevil" stars Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Jon Bernthal, and Rosario Dawson.

A French actress playing a Greek character. That's gonna be interesting to see how well Elektra is portrayed...

Sweet. Cannot wait... Elektra is awesome, and I can't wait to get her and Bullseye in the mix.

Good casting. Perhaps this version will be half Greek and half Japanese, giving her family a closer tie to The Hand.

I wonder if they will appear to kill each other in the second season finale.
