Do you believe in aliens?

Inspired by this recent thread

Do you believe in the existence of extraterrestrial entities that possess human or above-human intelligence?

Do you believe that any of those entities have visited Earth?

Do you believe any of those entities have influenced human history?

We exist. Outside of our own planet what are we...? That's right. Aliens. To all other worlds, be they inhabited or not, we're aliens. We're already proof enough and it's silly and short sighted to think that there aren't more than likely others out there.

Now... are they coming here or do others know this planet is inhabited, let alone know of this planet at all? Not impossible I suppose, but far less of a chance imo. Although, I'll probably never have an answer for what I saw when I was 10 and still can't explain it... One of the things that always had me wondering.

Though I at least like to think with all the stars and galaxies we're always taking pictures of that maybe there is another world of people-like beings looking back our way with the same questions we have.

By aliens do you mean natural and physical creatures like which are portrayed in science fiction movies or could it also mean supernatural figures like those in religions that exist outside the world?

If you mean the former, my answer is no, while if you mean the latter, my answer is yes.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

For the purposes of this conversation, I'm referring to the former although I do think having a discussion on the latter would be interesting and worthwhile

Do I believe in aliens as in those green ones who travel through space in flying saucers and want to conquer Earth? No. That's just what whoever first came up with that depiction of aliens imagined them to look like.

As for aliens as in life outside of Earth? Pretty sure it's been proven by now that it does exist. Wasn't water and some bacteria found on the surface of Mars some years ago? Now as for intelligent life like the human species? Well, so far nothing. The universe is huge and it will take us a veryyyyyyyyyy long time for us to develop advanced enough technology to explore the entire Solar System properly, let alone the entire universe. Who knows really? I'm gonna stand by this position, though: I'll only believe it when I see it. Until then, I won't. And, except for occasional times where threads like this are made, I never think of aliens or life outside of Earth.

I don't believe in any stories of people who claim to have seen UFOs or aliens by the way. They're always flawed and many times seem to be proved to have seen something totally different. I have never seen any solid evidence that aliens have visited Earth and left their mark in their planet. So based on this, if they're truly intelligent life out there, then it seems they're not technologically advanced enough to explore the whole universe or reach our planet yet either. And I sure as hell don't believe those people who claim to have been abducted by aliens.

Statistically speaking, of course aliens exist. But also statistically speaking, they would likely not be able to visit us. And those who are smart enough to get close are probably also smart enough to attempt going unnoticed.

(I love those videos!)

Do I believe aliens exist? In the sense that mathematically they have to.

Yes. You all know that i have been a alien from 2003 until 2009 Chrell and i was a Utrom.Utroms are the most known aliens to humans and they have visited earth many times. Some of them live among us but we dont understand them becuase they wear human disquise. There has also been many books wrriten by profesionals who talk about aliens. Iam currently reading one of them called Cosmic Voyage: A Scientific Discovery of Extraterrestrials Visiting Earth. By COURTNEY BROWN a American professor who has studies aliens for many years. It describes with evry details the aliens that has been on earth and how he talked with them . A must read for evryone as it has some very important informaiton about aliens on Earth.

I believe they exist out there and they have visited out of curiosity. To believe we are the only ones in this vast universe is silly to me. Matbe even that they haven't visited us but just like us are searching for other forms of life or maybe they are not that advance or just don't care, regardless there is other life out there deep in the reaches of outer space.

We are not alone people.
The truth is out there.

Anyone else feel like we're being set up for an alien visit in the near future? I sort of feel with all the recent "confirmation" of UFOs that they're trying to get us used to it so one day they say that "oh, we found alien life and they want to contact us". I really do feel like this is going to happen this decade.

I don't want to get too far out there, but I think it's entirely within the realm of possibility that a lot of these unknown craft - especially the ones that the Navy has documented traversing the air and then directly into the sea are likely surveillance drones.

As in, if they somehow shot one down, it wouldn't be manned. I'll leave it up to each individual person here to consider that theory and decide who the drone "owners" could be on their own.

But I will say that my best educated guess is that the "tic tacs" and some of the "satellite looking flyers" we are now seeing confirmation of are observational tools.

It's fun to speculate on. Obviously ANY race that's able to thousands of light years and able to make it here OK could wipe us out without breaking a sweat (it would also mean they conquered so many of the very basic problems of extended spaceflight we can't get around). They could also certainly masque themselves just fine if they wanted to.

Then there's other theories like... what if we are the aliens? Adam and Eve were "alien" crash landings (Battlestar Galactica remake and an episode of the OLD Twilight Zone and so on), etc..

My question is, why don't they try to communicate with us? What's the point of observing us for decades? Are they afraid of our reaction?
Maybe it is because they are not alien and that stuff flying around is us from the future studying our own past. That's a possibility.

The hacked into our social media. Within hours they decided we were just too dangerously stupid to even try to make contact with, as they risk being pulled down to our levels of low intelligence. They said 'let's get the heck outta here!!!!!'

That probably happened that one day Instagram went down for a few hours. The aliens have seen enough and Earth is now on the 'Do Not Visit' blacklist for other alien species.

That's pretty much what my mom thinks (though not overly seriously), that we're the aliens and have been this way before. Hell... maybe our ancestors already ruined Mars and they burned the records. (Though to the rest of the universe we're already aliens either way.)

We're "those people." The crazy neighbor they watch, but avoid. Even WE aren't crazy about communicating with us. lol We keep trying to say hi and they keep pretending no one is home.

Maybe we're basically like an ant farm? But in this case they're watching how the primitive beings evolve and impact the world.

And that there has basically my go-to (joke) theory for a long time. The "gray aliens" aren't aliens...they're future humans (or what used to be human) after having messed with DNA too much, enough to screw themselves over, and have come back in time to figure out how to fix it.

I definitely believe in aliens. Why wouldn't there be other areas in the universe that support life?

I think it really comes down to our sliding scale of what "life" means. How shocked would you be to discover a plant on Mars? How about bacteria?
Would a small insect from another galaxy be "alien" enough for you, or does it need to be twice the size of a human to count?

Do I think there is other sentient life in the Universe? Yes.

Do I think they've actually visited our planet? As a teenager I was a big believer in a lot of the UFO conspiracy theories; The Roswell incident, the Hill abduction, aliens influencing our history etc but I've become a lot more skeptical with age. There's still a few extra terrestrial encounter stories that give me pause though so I have a slightly open mind.

I do have a suspicion that a lot of the recent disclosures of UFO-related incidents is probably a distraction from other bad news.

That being said I do hope we get back to conspiracy theorists trying to prove the existence of alien craft in Area 51 over them trying to prove that anyone with more liberal political views are sucking childrens blood to stay eternally young.
