So Paramount might have already greenlit TMNT 3 and will confirm it within the next couple of weeks.

Back in the day I would have killed to see a movie faithful to the original cartoon - - and I'm willing to bet that most of us who were first exposed to them via the original cartoon, would say the same.

Obviously, 30 years later and my tastes have matured since then, as I'm sure most of us have, but a live action 'Fred Wolf' still has me hyped, and I know I'm not alone.

If they are going to go darker, more realistic, mature-type thing, I'd prefer them NOT try to adapt FW into something it isnt, but rather adapt the IDW series (particulary the history of the Foot Clan) into a strong Netflix-based series.

Just because they say it, doesn't make it so. Very little money actually goes where it's supposed to these days. Too many corrupt and greedy people but hopefully all of it goes to charity. Heaven forbid this money helps to greenlight yet another bad live action Fred Wolf movie.

That's a bit of a stretch. He was asked about the possibility of seeing Mousers in the next movie and his response is he doesn't know but maybe we'll see it and the he's asked the same question about mutating into a fly and he gives the same response.

He does not know but maybe.

It looked like a dark scene, so perhaps the Turtles were being honored in secret by whoever Laura Linney is, to a special handful of people that will now be supporting them in the NYPD.

...probably too much to hope for, but still.

I'd still say the entire NYPD is way too much. Having an ally or two is fine within the force is fine and actually has a basis in the franchise like Nobody or Det. Miller and his immediate allies in Tristan Jones' acclaimed issues.

Even then it looks far too public for it to be just the police force. Also given that such a location would be expensive to shoot at I can't imagine they'd cut it out even though it's been obvious from reactions to the title and early trailers that people don't care for the idea of the turtles as public heroes even in among those excited about the movie.
