Still no update? I know Andrew has his supporters here (I used to count myself among them), but the lack of communication on this topic has been nothing short of disrespectful to those that really helped make this project happen.

This is disappointing. I expected more from Andrew.

I know we're all getting impatient but maybe we can rally together in a partnership to help get this all to resolution. I've been thinking about proposing to Andrew a way to get this off his plate and get a majority of these mailed out. I haven't reached out to him yet but here's my thinking:

I ship comics all the time and I have the supplies and means to get these shipped in a relatively short time period (although I don't know exactly how many were printed). I could easily do 50 per week at minimum. Assuming all the books are printed and just sitting somewhere awaiting funds for shipping to individuals, Andrew could ship all the books to me along with the master mailing list. I can spend a couple weeks coordinating the mailing list to ensure all mailing addresses are up to date. Then, I can ship each book (in the continental US) via USPS Media Mail for a flat $3 (International is a possibility but would cost more). If everyone just needs to pitch in the shipping costs ($3 US and $?? International) to get this done, that seems like a very real way to get this over the finish line. I'd totally donate my time and effort to help get these out. Maybe a win/win proposition.

Thoughts? Would you all be willing to pay the shipping costs to get these in hand?

I'd hope that if you did help Andrew out that maybe he'd slip a page or two of the OA from the book as a "thank you".

That said, I'd be for something like this and I'd be happy to help in any way possible. In fact, if Andrew can commit to this by the end of February, I'll even foot the shipping bill from Andrew to Rich.

So Andrew ships the books to Rich. I'll reimburse Andrew for the shipping costs. From there, Rich can start getting things sorted out and moving again.

What do you say, Andrew?

If I went in on this, i'don't give $6 for priority shipping. I hate media mail for anything comic book related, it never works well for me...

I love the dudes work and his passion but at this point he may have serious issues getting people to back him for future stuff...

Oh, I agree. But the way you guys are phrasing your criticisms and frustrations, while understandable, is also more than likely burning all bridges.

Unless Andrew is a really REALLY forgiving fellow.

Well, while we're all frustrated at differing levels, I say we all just focus our efforts in helping get these distributed and letting Andrew put this behind him.
