My willingness to wait a few months paid off with a nice holiday discount from that Cuddle Clones company. Got my plush likeness of my Oranda finally ordered this evening.

They'd had an end of the summer sale back around the time she'd passed and a while afterward, but the small animals did not get as much of a discount. This time it was/is $75 off for big OR small. (Via a code they posted on FB.)

The restaurant I work at finally introduced a rewards program on our new app. It’s been out for about a week or so, but I already have $24 worth in points and more on their way.
About time to get some free stuff.

Told my mom yesterday about the plush likeness of my pet fish I'd ordered. I'd already told her that I'd had something I wanted to do OR, if there wasn't a good sale as I was waiting and hoping for, I'd probably request gift cards toward it... but I hadn't told her what IT actually was I was hoping to order. (Was debating even telling her since she can be a judgemental if something is pricey, taking some of the wind out of it and not bothering to consider if it was special or meaningful to someone in some way.)

Little judgement on this one and at least there was the big discount and the company's frequent animal related charitable giving to pad it with. But mostly she asked if they also do people. (Which no, that might get a bit questionable and weird if they kept to their purpose with the amount of likeness they try to do for the animals...) Which she was disappointed at, esp in that we just passed the 2 year mark of my dad being gone and of course this time of year is hard.

What she doesn't know... and is where the Happy Maker part of this comes in... is I went back to my computer after that conversation and looked up a company that does (alongside their main business of making plush from kids - and adults - drawings, which is pretty awesome!) make 18" plush dolls that are, in a more cartoony way, made to resemble a person, and their clothing in submitted photos.

Sooo, I thought I was done Christmas shopping for her, but she'll be getting one of those, too.

While the estimated date for it isn't until late January, I can at least stick a printed page and the order confirmation in a card so she can know she can look forward to getting it in coming weeks.

Just found out Netflix put up the third season of Broadchurch. And that I'm so close to the end of school, with just a few small things left to do.

Finally found this Art Institutes commercial online! Every time I've seen it on tv it leaves me thinking, "I swear that kinda looks like..." (or at least very 'inspired' by), but the part of the ad in question seems to fly by so fast on tv. So you tell me:

I did two mock interviews for finishing a class instead of one. And a third should hopefully be next week.

#4 spot in the committee’s rank. Playoff Bound.

Makes losing to Auburn less of a stinger.

Holy crap.
Finally got some forward momentum on my final project today.
Which is good, because it's due in a week, and I was stuck on the research portion for too long.

I have an outline of my experimental Aims, Timeline, Methods, and Materials.
Tomorrow I can codify them a touch more, and then get working on the Limitations portion of the paper.

Baby steps.

I issued a complaint to Amazon over an order in their market place. To my surprise, I got a full refund.

Not that I thought I was in the wrong, its just whenever I do these things there's always some stupid loophole I get caught in and never come out on top.

So, yay for small victories.

Ah, I wish I were still in school. It would be nice to have that kind of freedom again from time to time....

Making me happy is a fat paycheck and a little stocking full of goodies from the store owners. And a ride home from Mom in this cold-a$$ weather. And a hot bubble bath and cocoa when I get there.

Yesterday it was the Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu announcement. It's one of those things like Hellboy + Turtles in Injustice 2 where, I don't care who isn't happy about it, because it makes me happy.

Today I took the day to myself to just walk around and see things. Stopped by the local arcade and played the new brand TMNT arcade game, and saw a 4000 year old sarcophagus in an antique shop.
