!!

I logged into my account on one of those virtual pet sites I use occasionally [I've drawn things for their on-site contests too, it's fun practice] and I didn't expect to see this in my PM box:

THEY WANT TO BUY ONE OF MY DESIGNS.

THEY WANT TO BUY A DESIGN I DREW FOR THEIR CONTEST.

THEY WANT TO BUY IT??? HOLY **** THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY

Pretty sweet, NK! Always nice to have something unexpected happen like that, especially where extra cash is concerned. Hopefully they'll want to do more business with ya in the future. I bet they will.

Only a week and a few days until Thanksgiving, and this makes me happy because I'm a turkey fiend. White meat is awesome, and since no one else tends to like it because it's a bit dry, that also makes me happy. Might actually be getting another turkey since my mom is coming down to see us for Christmas. Seeing my mom again after four years definitely makes me happy. She's got a lot on her in TN having to take care of my grandma, but she's taking some time for herself this holiday season. We talk on the phone every day, but it'll be nice to spend some time with her. She and my fiancee also get along perfectly which is another plus. I consider her dad to be one of my closest friends and he feels the same way about me, so it's nice to be a part of a family where there's no drama.

Well, you do draw really good. There is something very pleasing in how you do your designs, they are nice, clear and crisp.

Congrats on that, Net. That's great.

Updating a fan fic with two chapters made me happy today. It always feels good to get back to writing.

Ty so much bud for the tips! Thinking back to my interviews this past Thursday and Friday, I can confidently say that I used these tips! So here's hoping

What made me happy- a (REALLY) nice wake-up from the other half this (ahem) afternoon, and it was my day off, so I FINALLY got to enjoy another episode of Gotham and Sleepy Hollow! Also, I managed to finish and post the next chapter of my newest fic. Yay!

Watching Stepmonster made me happy today - one of my fave movies as a kid; it scared the dickens out of me as a wee, misanthropic tyke.

I was successfully able to remix a Kyary Pamyu Pamyu song. Hadn't done much remixing outside of hip-hop, so trying to do something with a j-pop jam was quite a challenge, I'm glad I pulled it off. Granted I gave it hip-hop flavor...

Just got a call from my old church friend Kelly who I haven't seen in forever. It was so nice to catch up with her. I'm hoping she and I can get together at some point down the road when things have settled down a little for both of us.

Realizing how many awesome friends I've made here - people who can always make me smile when I read their messages and who I can have great conversations with.

At the risk of getting mushy, I love you guys and gals.

Did you know there's a comedy from my birth-year where Dolly Patron tries to teach Sly Stallone to sing?

Something about the specific wording and the smiley face... it's almost like you're hinting at something...
