New Episode Discussion: "What a Croc!"
Thats what I've been saying about everything all week...
Say 'ello to my leetle thread... Welcome to another jam-packed thread of adventure and insanity! Well, its been a while since they saw the Utrom building get vaporised, and life has been relatively easy. They got so much free time, since they defeated Shredder....what do they do now?! Take a vacation? Retire and move to cancun? Start a moving service? Don know's what to do... Scuba diving! In sewers...? with the stuff down there? No thanks... All those myths about alligators in the sewers... I'm sure Mike'll just LOVE going for a swim... Well, well, a new mutant! A giant crocodile named Leatherhead! I wonder how Steve Irwin would react to seeing this brute... Now I gotta wonder if he's gonna be doin all dat dere' Cajun talk, or if he'll talk normal. mysterious friend? Heh, I cant WAIT to figure out how they explain THAT one... okay, yeah, I know this was a particularly crappy ep thread, its been a rough week for me. Mods, get on here and lend a helping hand!!! |

Oooh... I wonder if Leatherhead is gonna try and eat the turtles. I can already hear Mikey cracking a joke referencing the Croc Hunter. Heh heh. This oughta be fun!

Wow, now that was a great episode. Heh. Leatherhead sort of reminded me of Beast, with his refined intelligence and monstrous appearance. And woah, talk about a major suprise. I thought that it would have been the Shredder Utrom in the body suit. The reveal of Baxter Stockman blew me away. Best episode of Season 2, by far. And I loved that they actually did end up putting the Evil Turtlebot in the new toon after alll.

This episode was awesome! So much interesting stuff....Leatherhead, Baxter in an utrom suit, turtles switching weapons, and the evil turtlebot! I was wondering since the opening narrative how they would put the evil turtlebot in. You think we will see Leatherhead in the future?

Yaaaaaaaaaaay! Ok I really liked the ep. I felt really sorry for Leatherhead, and my only problem with the ep was how the guys all /almost/ acted like the fact Leatherhead was probably dead was just some everyday, common, occirance. I guess he would be happier though X.x hehe I think Baxter's been watching some transformers or anime considering the evil turtle bot. @.@ And I had a very Battle Arena Todishen feel while watching that battle, I must admit. 'This person's scanned all our fighting skills, so let's do the unexpected and use someone ELSE'S fighting skills.'

Thanks! Oh, you can delete my previous post if you want. Now it's time to discuss. Some things I noticed. Spoilers below if you missed today's episode!!
-April is getting ready to move out. That's pretty quick. If she is getting her shop back, that's pretty quick. I wonder how long she stayed with the Turtles. -Don's at it again, inventing more stuff for underwater sewer exploration. What can he do next? -Leatherhead is just too cool. Kinda reminds me of the Lizard off of Spider-Man, only he still has his human smarts. Kinda cool he was staying at the Turtles original lair. -Biggest surprise of the episode: Baxter Stockman. I was expecting perhaps an Ultrom who got left behind, but that's when Stockman came out. -Fight againt the cyborg Turtle thing. Very smart, Turtles. Using your other brother's weapons. I like that. -Another City at War reference on the news. -Finally, Leatherhead. I hope he didn't perish. He might prove to be a valuable ally in the future. That and Zog, the Trictereon (sp?) who is in the sewers somewhere. Anyway, the episode was good. I give it a 9 out of 10. This is the best episode since Secret Origins Part III.

That was an awesome ep! leatherhead was great. there was an origin for him, which was interesting. at first i thought it was shredder who he was helping out, unknowing that he was evil. i guess he was smarter than that. interesting that baxter got out of the tcri building (although we knew he would). i guess this means that hun and the elite are out too. i wonder if hun will be the leader of the foot in City at War.
oh, and the weapons exchange was great!

Oh yeah...also, I'm wondering if that slip up with the sais was the new toon's way of pointing to the RPG book... It's stated in there that Don is pretty much proficient in the bo ONLY, while the others can use multiple weapons. And I too was expecting Shreadder the whole time.

Note: Beast is a character from X-Men, if anybody is wondering who we're talking about. I would have loved to hear Mikey use one of his quotes from the video game, such as the one in my signature.

Holy crap, now this is more like it. This episode was factastic all around, form the action, to the jokes, to the surprise of seeing the Evil Turtlebot from the game.
Croc was awesome, from being all smart, to putting on the classes (that was great) and building a transmat and a Utrom body. His origin was really cool too. Living in the old Turtles lair was a nice touch as well. Evil Turtlebot kicked shell too. Scanning the Turtles was a niec way to explain how he could do all that, and it was a surprise to see him in the new toon. The Turtles adapting to beat him was sweet too, all that training with other weapons really payed off! Croc getting stuck reminded me of Tokka from TMNT 2 They keep dropping more stuff in to forshadow City at War. Leo and Splitner are following it very closly now. Couple things that bugged me though. Why could the Turtles stand on the water, when Croc jumped down into it? And why did Mikey need the air to breathe? The Turtles swam all the way to Garbage Island in the Garbage Man episode without it. Favourite Lines: Mikey: My roomate snores like a chainsaw! Raph: ZZZZZZZ Mikey: What are you doing with my Silver Sentry comics? April: I needed something to wrap my stuff in, and these were just lying around. Mikey: AHHHHHHHH! Mikey: It was like ar ar ar, and I was like, ahhh, and it was like arg, oink, arg arh, and I was like ahahah and it was all like ARRGH. Raph: You are one rib short of a BBQ. Mikey: Stand by as Michelangeo takes you on a crock hunt! Mikey: I think I lost him <Gets tacckled my Leatherhead> Mikey: Whatsamatter? Spider body not cutting it with the ladies? |
