awesome pic. When my picture was taken, 25th anniversary of the eruption, I am standing at Coldwater Ridge and behind me, Mt. St. Helens was smoking. I wanted to go to Johnson Ridge but the snow prevented me to do so.

Yeah, we couldn't get to Johnson because of the snow, either. We were at the next closest observatory... forget the name.

That was the best view we got the time we were there... never actually saw the part of the mountain tha we all recognize.

But it was still cool!

Your view was better than mine. It is very hard to see but the volcano is right behind me covered in snow and ice. When I went there, I dragged my poor mom to it.
