awesome pic. When my picture was taken, 25th anniversary of the eruption, I am standing at Coldwater Ridge and behind me, Mt. St. Helens was smoking. I wanted to go to Johnson Ridge but the snow prevented me to do so.

Yeah, we couldn't get to Johnson because of the snow, either. We were at the next closest observatory... forget the name.
That was the best view we got the time we were there... never actually saw the part of the mountain tha we all recognize. But it was still cool!
