Gold Shogun Don: Urban Legend?
Does this figure actually exist? I could have SWORN it did, but Andrewdsz is insisting it doesn't. Does anyone know for sure?

No, that's Leonardo. The blue clothes/bandana should be the deciding factor...

It does, I had one when they first came out.
I bought it at hills department store. The box was before they switched to the hanging type card and they still used the little punch tab. Like an idiot I thought April and Splinter would be more rare at the time so I took him back so I could buy a Splinter because I didn't have the money to buy all of them. |

We all make mistakes though, Vaughn. And you went on to become one of the most knowledgable fans in this community...but that probably doesn't make you feel any better.

I could have sworn I'd seen one many moons ago as well, but I had no interest in him over some others at the time (as a younger lad I never thought about what figures would be "rare", just the coolest ones). Then again, I clearly remember seeing a Quarry 2 years before she was released, so what do I know?

I saw her too at a Walmart. They were stocking figures and I remember seeing her in the box of stuff they had. I had no money at the time so I wasn't buying any figures, I also had no idea she was going to be rare. Got her at a Kay Bee a few years later along with Karai and Bishop.

..... Sometimes I wonder how many rare figures are waiting to be discovered at flea markets/old stuff at some old shops for a ridiculous price!!!!....
....Probably I had seen some of those and I never know!!!!...Ouch! Not this time! If someday I see a Donatello Shogun with Golden armor I will pick it!...LOL!!! |

I don’t believe it exists. Shogun Raph, Leo, and Mike had gold armor. Donatello would have to be the rarest gold armored Shogun turtle figure out of them all.

Even Michael Sorensen (kaptainmyke) has Gold Shogun Don listed as "Ultra Rare" on his webpage: http://www.kaptainmyke.com/tmnt/tmntchecklist.htm
