And we will probably see other TMNT-Universes!

Awesome, any Ghostbusters fans knowing who the shadows represent?

Huh, that actually makes sense, I thought they had sharp noses but I guess they could be upper lips.

Wow, looks like Darius Dun will have some sort of long term role after all. I thought he was just a quick fodder enemy for Splinter to kill off and show him as lead of the Foot Clan. Didn't expect it to lead to anything.

There's only one possible appropriate response to this and everything else that's coming:

I am surprised Darius Dunn is not done with. I thought his red shirt purpose had been fulfilled. Could not see this one coming. Darius could not accomplish this one his own. We all think Chi-You is involved somehow Could he be the one who empowers Darius to be able to do this? If not him then what Ghostbusters villain? There is Gozer, Stay Puft The Marsh Mellow Man, Vigo The Carpathian and I would not know who else. Of course it would not be Stay Puft, but what about Gozer or Vigo?

As a variant collector I am very worried about having to handle 2 5 week events in one year. At first I was underwhelmed because well, we already got a Ghostbuster cross over, but now that I think about it the story does make a lot of sense and I think it will be a good fit. This is probably how Chi-You get's back into our comic's universe.

Was this the only announcement they made at Comic Con? I thought they showed a couple of different covers and teased a bit about what to expect in Universe and the Ongoing series last year..

The actual panel is on Saturday, I believe, so maybe we'll get some more info or teases then?

As a reader of IDW's Ghostbusters series, I dig the implications of including the Dark Turtles. It might be a form taken by the Collectors, who appear as evil duplicates of their victims before kidnapping them into the netherworld (they previously took the guise of the Peoplebusters). The advertisement blurb mentions the Turtles being trapped in a ghostly dimension, so that seems like a cinch.

A pretty awesome way to put them in the series.

Yep, you can see Leo's eye piece and Mikey's tongue on the ones on the bottom, I guess the others are Don's and Raph's head spikes, Don's on the right due to the longer spikes and Raph's on the left.

My best case fan-scenario. IDW acquires the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book license and they do a TMNT crossover. It came SO CLOSE to happening in 1994.

Yeah they would be the best people to handle Sonic I would say.

I hope T-Rex at least gets to do a cover for TMNT/GB. The man's been so important to both properties that leaving him out from doing something in these crossovers seems terrible.

When it comes to IDW getting the Sonic license, I'm less interested in any crossover than I am in the direction of the Sonic comic itself.

I've never really read Archie's Sonic comics, but I know the general idea is that it was essentially a tie-in to those early Sonic cartoons that ended up running long after they were cancelled. As such, it was full of characters and weird concepts (like some "Planet of the Apes"/"Terminator"-fusion type setting) that have nothing to with the actual games, just a weird remnant of early marketing.

So are IDW going to bother using these things to please Archie Sonic's fanbase, or stick to what the games have established to give it a broader appeal? Maybe something in between?
