Or maybe and get this, some people might think certain adaptions improve on the source material So you are saying that comic book Mr Freeze is better than Batman TAS Mr Freeze where the former was a generic villain and the latter was a 3 dimensional character.

To be honest we haven't seen enough of Jennika as a turtle to really gauge how she'll be as a character but frankly I'd be hard pressed to imagine she'll end up as bad as Venus.
There's a reason why most people who think she can be revived go for reinventing the character in which case it's not really Venus anymore. Quote:
Movies and TV adaptions of comics when done right can distill the essential elements and strip away the meaningless ephemera that build up after decades worth of ongoing continuity. Think the Richard Donner Superman movie or Captain America: Civil War which most people would cop to being better than the comic event. |

Censor
As far as I know, that's because children's comics are less limited by censors.

Aye, kinda like how the sh*t I took after lunch was better than the one I took after breakfast.
Kidding, kidding. Kinda. Kinda mostly kidding.

You're going to piss somebody off saying that, for sure.
I can definitely, definitely say that the "Umbrella Academy" TV show was a whole hell of a lot better than the comic, though. To say that the comics were "incoherent" would be the understatement of the year.

However, I absolutely agree with Andrew. Umbrella Academy on Netflix is far better than the comics.
