Usually an interviewer who has been granted special access is a big sign that they do not trash talk any product. Companies want to make a good impression with the public so they would only select the interviewers who are more optimistic.
Since they said the holographic watch does belong to Donatello and he created, kind of gives the movie some negative points. The writers are inconsistent with their characters, Don can make a holographic watch but can't repair and improve his broken glasses. This is like Signs all over again, Aliens who mastered space flying technology couldn't get past a wooden door. Being critically acclaimed matters so much because it would become a classic and really pull in a new audience. Being critically acclaimed also means the movie is aware of its characters and their actions. For every action there is a reaction. Yet being fun and entertaining can sell so much as well. Perhaps the movie won't be so bad. I know I am enjoying the turtles being muscular, sturdy ninjas. The plot doesn't seem so bad either. So I am expecting a decent movie full of laughs and action. |

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles VFX crew is working away up at ILM in San Francisco, readying the film for its August 8th debut, however, what we saw today still looked pretty good.

The fact they are saying the film is an Action Comedy, Is a great sign that it'll be a lot of fun.

Somehow, I'm not surprised they kept the bulletproof shell aspect from Blue Door script. I still wonder if we're actually going to actually Foot ninja, and not these militarized version of the Foot.
Still, it does seem the footage had a positive reaction. I still have some reservations against this film, but it will be interesting to see how well this film will perform.

Just because it may have happen before, doesn't mean we want it to happen again.
Personally, I cringed a bit while reading that.

Before the firestorm of bickering and 'super funny' animated gif responses.
Sounds fun! Can't wait! All I really care about is the personalities of the turtles. Get that? You can do whatever around it. Leg-A-Rama! SCWIIIIIIING!!!!!

Yeah, "sschwinng!" can easily be lost as a simple sound effect on those who don't get it...bodily reference however for young minds that might ask about that... Parents, you have my sympathy.

ehh..Im still a bit iffy about the comedy, reminds me a bit too much like GOTG.
A boner joke... I always hated that in any type of movie whatsoever, but with the exception of that, it sounds pretty good. |

I dunno. Not reading anything here that makes me any more hopeful. In fact, a few of my fears were totally confirmed. Ideally, a TMNT movie should have strong emotion, be taken seriously but also have a great sense of humour, and... ehh. Not feeling like they're hitting the mark on that. Still getting more of an "87 cartoon with an 'extreme bro' makeover" vibe from this. I'm sure a lot of folks will enjoy this movie, but I just don't think it's for me.

Turtles 1- Mikey kisses the tv when April's on and says "I'm in love!"
Turtles 3- Leo and Donny make a boner joke when April is tearing her dress into a skirt. "A leg-o-rama! Sha-wing!" Nick series- Donny has a crush on April. The turtles are teenagers. It makes sense that they would have the hots for a sexy woman. They just can't do anything about it because they are turtles. |

Yeah, it leaves room for interpretation, especially if you've not seen Wayne's World. But hey, for all we know, the turtles there thought it was just something like a cat-call, rather than anything more explicit. I mean, the movieverse turtles were pretty innocent.

I think some of you are overreacting to the sexual innuendo joke. It is just a joke, perhaps an unwanted joke. TMNT is not the only PG movie that has sexual innuendo, I know SpongeBob Squarepants did a few, so did most of the Disney movies. The kids won't pick up on the joke. But parents will. Remember it is mainly meant for all ages. Not just kids!
