Sally will definitely be the voice of reason within the team, and the one to polarize most of them away from Hob's intentions if it comes to that. I fully expect a "civil war" of sorts to cause a divide in the Mutanimals and her faction turning to the Turtles for help.

Oh, and one more thing: was it just me or did anyone else get the feeling Casey and Jennika might hook up?
Looked like there was something going on there, dear ol' dad even commented on it. |

I think we have enough Trump satire with Stump. Maybe if Crump is a holographic disguise for Stump?

However,A.J. Howard might work and start an anti-mutant agenda especially now it would be relevant!

It's pretty much implied Baxter will probably run for Mayor even if he says he has no plans to in this issue. No point to introduce the concept to Baxter if they were just going to bring in another new character.

I wonder which party Baxter would be part of?

Stockman is being teased as the future Mayor. Bishop and the EPF are said to be keeping their grip on New York City. We know Stockman's felt tempted to work with/for Bishop before (TMNT Universe #1-4) but ultimately didn't because he didn't want to give up control. But him being elected Mayor would definitely change the power dynamic between the two... Add to that the fact that the Turtles still have an ally in the NYPD, and there's definitely something, some sort of plot we cannot yet divise, taking shape in the human politics side of things. #100-150 material?

Anyways, that was a damn good opener to this story arc. I liked Toad Baron's ample alliteration a lot

Hey, if there was any antagonist in this line that would use "ample alliteration a lot", it would absolutely be Toad Baron

Really great issue. Cubed summed it up well, in that this has settled everything into its proper place as we move forward. It's nice not to rush into the next thing but have sort of a pause as everyone collects themselves.
On an unrelated note, I always read Toad Barron in the voice of Frasier.

For me, Toad Baron always had the voice of John Goodman. Also, it seems like Dave Watcher is becoming the Pantheon guy. With him drawing this next arc, he's now been the artist the last three times the Pantheon came to the forefront.

Alright issue, I get that this is the "setup to the next arc" issue but there isn't of lot meat for my taste though I do enjoy the interaction between Arnold and Casey

I can see John Goodman more than anyone, all things considered.

It's always the late Glenn Shadix in my head.

This version of Rat King is probably a Mark Hammill character voice, especially with the way he is a trickster.

Rat King sounds more like Jeremy Irons' Scar in my head. Though in a pinch, I'll concede that Hamill could probably pull both him and Toad Baron off.
