I've made plenty of good choices and have been heading in the right direction since 2007. At the time I didn't know what to do with my life since some things i had planned were taken away from me at the time I mostly hung out with friends and spent a lot of time with geeky habits, my positive change really started more around 2011. In 2007 I exclusively posted on the Drome about TMNT and didn't post much, I miss some of the familiar faces that I used to read posts about but that's in any forum. Only person I've shared forums with is Cybercubed for over 12 years, we're doomed to be in the same places for the rest of our lives since our likes are pretty much the same.

Back in 2007 I had just turned 21. Goddamn, what I wouldn't give to be back in my early 20's again.
I'm middle age now, I feel like I'm one step away from the retirement home. |

People say "50 is the new 40," so I wouldn't exactly call it "middle age" if you're still in your early 30s.

No sense in obsessing too much about our age. It's not something we can control.
And, you're probably not even halfway to the retirement home. |

Dudes only live to about 72 on the average, so "middle age" is absolutely your 30s.

According to wiki(yeah I know) the average male life expectancy in USA is about 76 years old. And there's about 30 other countries ranked above USA in that respect. You're underestimating things a bit :-p

I'll be more concerned to hit my sixties because once you hit that age, nobody cares about you as far as health insurance goes.

When old people hit retirement home they had nothing to do because they grew up in old society, other than watching sports.
When I'm 60-70, I'm still going to be playing videogames, watching cartoons and movies and reading comics. At least when I'm old I know I won't ever be "bored" because I'll still like all the same things I do now. And now just imagine how much new stuff will come out in the next 30 years. |

Let's actually answer the question now...
I was going on 26. I lost my job of two years at SunTrust Mortgage (layoff) I decided to go back to school (online) to finish my BA while job hunting Did tutoring to make some extra cash That's about all I can think of.Yeah, in general. It has to truly catch my interest for me to see it and if I don't see it when first interested, I will lose interest. |

I plan on living until I'm at least 99. Why die at 70 when you can make it another 30 years?

Because by then you're basically reduced to being a large helpless man-baby in a nursing home. You could try living healthy and maybe manage to get to be at the very least in your late 80s until that happens, but sadly that only delays the inevitable.

You know you feel old when the original Blade Runner that came out in 1982 was set in the year 2019...which is only 2 years from now.
When Terminator's judgement day was 1997...and that's now 20 years ago. Or when Back to the Future II said 30 years in the future was the year 2015, and that was now 2 years ago. Goddamn these dates in movies that were supposed to be "the future" are now either the past or we're nearly close to them. God we are so old. |
