But didn't the world crisis start in 2008? At least that was when it blew up here in Europe. Greece and Iceland came first and then I think it was Ireland and a couple of years later it was Portugal and Spain.

2007 was a great year for videogames:
Super Mario Galaxy Metroid Prime 3 Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Uncharted Bioshock Mass Effect The Orange Box Ninja Gaiden Black Ratchet and Clank: Future Perfect Halo 3 It's also the year most people were still struggling to find a Wii. |

Nope. It started while Bush was still in office. And poor Obama inherited that sh**storm clusterf*** mess and somehow managed to turn it around even though it took almost six years. He just gets a lot of flack because it ballooned shortly after he took over. One reason I give the man a lot more respect than most- he was able to steer through it all with dignity and calmness in spite of all the people pointing fingers and booing in the sidelines. And we came out ok. But the bubble burst BEFORE he got there.

I would have been fourteen then.
Holy ****, that year was ****ing intense. -First year of my GCSEs (Britain = General Certificate of Education). -My parents broke up. -Because my dad was a vicar and he had an affair he lost his job (although my mum is a very difficult person to live with and can be pretty scary if you get on her bad side so I don't blame him). -Because he lost his job, we had to move house (we lived in a vicarage). -One of my mum's work colleagues and her daughter came to live with us for a few months which was fun. On the plus side, I was really into Star Trek, Babylon 5, Space 1999 and Futurama. I also discovered the joy of reading 19th century literature such as Frankenstein and pretty much any Victor Hugo novel. As you can tell, I was one of the cool kids. |
