I did a design project for my mom's preschool in roughly an hour. It came out pretty neat.

My cousin's baby was born today. He ended up being born by c-section, but we haven't been told why yet. I'm pretty sure that wasn't the plan, and I know my cousin was really worried about that happening.

Hope it went well. The only person I've ever known who had a c-section birth was my cousin's wife.

It seems it as. It'll probably be a while before I meet the baby too; probably won't see him while he's tiny.
But boy, that kid has a lot of hair!

Grats on the new little cousin!
I hope the c-section wasn't for any bad/scary reasons. Though sometimes a kid is just too big or something else relatively harmless in this century. (My mom had it because I was too big.) |

It happened pretty quick, it wasn't like she was in labor for hours. So I'm assuming something went wrong fast.

On a side note, the C-section doesn't really hurt(epidurals are a WONDERFUL thing!!) until after the anesthesia wears off. Then it hurt to sit up, or move and especially to laugh lol. And it only took about ten minutes from the time they wheeled me in to the time I was back in my maternity room. Never felt a thing. Didn't even get to see it for that matter as there was a large sheet over everything and it went above my head. I tried to ask for a mirror to see what was going on but they ignored me. Fully aware of the whole process though. The weird part was having NO feeling AT ALL below my bustline. Like my body simply wasn't there. Such a bizarre feeling....

Probably makes no sense, but...I was rather high on pain meds, and it seemed like a logical conclusion at the time.

Jessie's not exactly a tiny person though...I don't think any of us Kunkler girls are. Hers was within an hour or two of going into labor, so my assumption is that something bad happened. I don't know yet. It really wasn't in the plan for one.

That must have been scary for her then. Hope all are well and she heals fast.
Your mom and mine could definitely relate. She had 22 hours with me before they went with the c-section. edit: Happy maker - NASA and others making rogue twitter accounts in defiance of Trump's wish to silence them. Last edited by IndigoErth; 01-26-2017 at 05:11 PM. |

Fortunately mine came with a pain killer first. It didn't hurt much at all. And for the record, the C-section wasn't in the OB-GYN's plan, but I HAD warned her from the beginning that I thought it would be neccessary- and for the same reason it ended up being neccessary for my mom. (And in her case the docs were also concerned that the extreme length of labor might cause me to choke on my own er poop while in utero.) According to my mom I didn't cry when I was born- and neither did my daughter. One little squeak, was all I heard out of her. Hubby still jokes that he saw parts of me even I haven't seen, and that she just popped right out and went "eh"! Guess she wasn't impressed with the world lol!

Well, aside from my Nuclear panic, I had an otherwise good day. I actually made breakfast for once and ate it (though I felt queasy afterwards. I guess my gut doesn't like food at dawn?) Made huge headway with my first assignments. Passed my first quiz of the semester with a 100. Met a baby that liked me.
Saw Moana with my dad, which was fun. Then dad talked me down from my panic.

Despite my Walmart having almost no TMNT stuff in the toy aisle, they somehow had just a few of the Super Ninja/Shredder figures and grabbed me the lone Leo.

Ours got some in too. Wasn't really impressed though, especially the Shredder. Left them all there. I'm just glad hubby got me the blue outfit April from OotS for X-Mas a while back. Our Wal-Mart never got either her or the maskless Casey.

Although it has been a big chore, getting my place in order has been a semi happy maker for me. I still have some work to do, but I'm seeing (and reaping) some positive results of just having space to walk around in again.
I've also recently put in some new blinds for three of my windows, and I hope to get some new curtains for them this weekend.
