Have you accepted the show probably won't continue after season 5? - Page 22

Im assuming you all have heard by now, or don't care anymore, that season 5 has been confirmed to be the last season and that Nick will be making a 2d animated tmnt reboot series to premiere in 2018. Although I am excited for a 2d animated series they say its geared toward a younger audience and focused on humor. Could be interesting but it could also be too kiddy for some of the older fans. We shall see

Given what we know about Rise so far, a real shame this show didn't make go on at least 2 more seasons.

They still had plenty of story material to adapt from other TMNT incarnations, or characters they could have used, so it's not like they'd run out of stuff to do if it went on longer.

Despite how much I want this show to continue, it makes sense why this is the final season. Shredder is dead, the krang are gone, and Tiger Claw and Fishface supposedly declared truces. Plus, I think there's going to be an episode where Bebop and Rocksteady get taken care of. Everything's winding down. I mean, this incarnation of the turtles had so much action and character development, in my opinion. It's so bittersweet. I'm going to miss it.

The fact that Ciro purposely made the last episode 50 years in the future also proves he has an intended and planned ending for the series, rather than it just ending on a random filler or uneventful story.

Whenever any show has a huge time skip to the future, it's obvious a lot of endgame moments for all the characters are in place.
