Before people post on this thread, I think they should read on what an Easter Egg is. Not that they will read it anyway, and just continue to post whatever hits their fingertips:

I haven't seen the episode Monkey Brains so I watched it on Nick.com. There is a scene where April comes into the living area of the lair and Donny quickly flips over the grease board and on the reverse side is a poster for Space Heroes 3 the Resurrection of someone. It bares a striking resemblance to the Star trek 3 movie poster.

I dont think this has been mentioned but apologies if I overlooked it. In The Gauntlet when Shredder appears on the rooftop, was his pose the same as when he first encountered the turtles in the Mirage books? Also the same or similar pose to the same appearance in Turtles Forever?

Mikey's suggestion for Rat King's name: Verminator.

Hm, I wonder if Verminator really was a reference, the character is very obscure and Verminator is a name used for characters like this.

I would hope the people from Nick read Archie, gives me hope to see Armaggon.

I have a feeling they're plenty familiar with the Archie series.

As far as Armaggon is concerned, I can take him or leave him.

That doesn't mean they've read through the whole series though. Verminator X doesn't appear until more than halfway into the series.

Armaggon is probably the best underused mutant character in the franchise.

He's a little too predictable a villian for my tastes. "Ooh a mutant shark with missle launchers mounted on his back. He must be evil!"

When I was 10 years old I thought Armaggon was the coolest thing I've ever seen. Any 10 year old boy watching the show would love a shark mutant who shoots missiles and comes from the future.

What a shame he was created so late that he was never considered for a toy or the cartoon.

I think there is a small bowlfish with a pink palm tree when Splinter is talking about Rat King trying to control his mind.... maybe an easter egg for Slash????

He did get some bad-ass sprites in Tournament Fighters, at least.

You have no room to put down someone's suggestion when a couple of pages ago, you considered throw-away lines full on Easter eggs.

Armaggon should appear and get a toy, and I want my laser shark mutants
If he does appear should they also bring in the whole future story with one eyed Raph or give him his own story?

But what are the chances of the Nick writers actually reading through a comic based on a cartoon from 20 years ago? They may have checked out a few random issues here and there, I doubt they read through it all.

The TMNT universe is huge now. They probably read through a lot of the Mirage material, and watched many episodes of both the original toon and 4kids series, and probably seen all the movies, but other than that I'm sure they didn't read everything.

Cubed, they brought back freakin' Pete the Pigeon. I completely forgot there was a Pete the Pigeon....I think the reference to "The Verminator" is an Easter egg.

What are you, the freaking president of our fandom now? Quit acting like you know everything about the franchise and the people behind it, because you're coming off a pretentious schmuck!
