Just to report...
I found Albearto and Foot Lieutenant finally at a Kohl's.
First time I had also seen the battle shells that come with Rise weapons instead of the mystery bags.

Remember folks, it's Christmas, stores that don't usually have many toys are throwing up huge toy sections. So hunt in places you don't normally hunt!

Local Walmart finally put out some of the bug and battle shell sets. So maybe they are starting to get out.

Well, looks like the basic line is stating to show up discounted at Five Below. Found Battle Shell Leo and Don tonight.

Last week before Christmas, my local Wal-Mart had NO Rise TMNT stuff out. They replaced it with old Jurassic World stuff on Clearance that they must have wanted to get rid of.

Not to get too off topic but I stopped at Walmart too looking for the new Alien toy line from Lanard and was shocked by how much Jurassic World stuff they just restocked with yesterday.

One Walmart in my area is bare with no pegs even mentioning TMNT while the other has the first wave on sale. I got the Bug Buster on sale for $11. No sign of any of the new figures and I’ll be curious to see what happens going forward. I heard a rumor, which I’ve not seen here yet, that Playmates is cancelling the line and going to focus on classic figures. However, Shredder, Bullhop, and Wrestling Mikey have not seen an official release and at least Bullhop was definitely produced. They are listed on Playmates website as well.

I also stumbled across the battle shell turtles at Five Below with a few basics sprinkled in. They’re tempting for $5 a pop.

That honestly can't be very good news for the show, given how intertwined toy sales are with cartoon shows, and how many shows have historically been cancelled despite being very popular simply because the toys didn't sell.

I'm not trying to bash, but if they don't think they can sell the toys and are putting the line "on hiatus" to focus on more familiar and "classic" TMNT products, well... That pretty much says it all.

Thank you! I somehow missed that. So Bullhop becomes the Muckman of the Rise line? Everyone run to Ross and Boscovs haha The TMNT section has dwindled at all the stores I’ve been to so I’m guessing we won’t be seeing Bullhop at major retailers. Although I’ve watched the show with an open mind lately I can’t say I’m surprised by this news. It’s just not the TMNT we all know and love. Too many off the wall changes. Go with a more serious tone with humor sprinkled in like 2012 the next go around and it will do well. Adults and children will support it and you’ll have another success. 2D art again would be nice!

I hit around 10 Walmarts over the weekend, and all but 1 had zero Rise products. No figures, vehicles, roleplay items, nothing. Like it had all been pulled. The remaining store had a bunch of series 1 Raphs and Draxum.

I'm expecting this stuff to start showing up at places like Ross and Ollie's.

I found Hypnopotamus at a Wal-Mart just 2 days before Christmas. There was no wrestling Leo to be found. My Wal-Marts around here are largely empty of turtles but some of them have 5 or less still hanging out on a peg.

All of my local Targets and Walmarts have Rise figures on Clearance. My normal stop Walmart said they will be doing a toy reset next week and there isn't a spot for anything TMNT.

I resorted to getting a Hypno and Wresting Leo from Ebay as I doubt I will find them anywhere local. They were the last I needed to complete my set of figures that were actually released. If they do actually release Bullhop and Wresting Mikey I will probably have to Ebay them as well. Not many Five Below stores around me and they mostly have empty shelves when I do stop in one.

Regardless, I look forward to what Playmates does with a classic line and I hope they come in 2020. I sure hope they do a better job at getting new product out to stores though, not just shipping wave 1 over and over. If they reissue all (or at least most) of the 80s and 90s line including vehicles, it would be a dream come true.

So just in case anybody out there finds an extra Wrestling Leo, Wrestling Mike, or Bullhop....

I've got an extra Hypnopotamus, Albearto, and Ft. Lieutenant that I bought purely for the purposes of trading, or, if I have to, scalping to use the proceeds on being scalped myself for the 3 I probably won't find...

Also, has anybody seen anywhere still carrying the playset? I'd buy one or two more of those for clearance prices for a nice display some day...

Everywhere I go seems to be putting the basic figures on clearance. Walmart,
Target, Meijer, etc.
