Wow! Seeing all this stuff makes me even more excited about this than I was before. I really like that image of OT Mike. They've really made it true to how it was back then, which is a good thing. I can't wait to see when this airs.

This all looks great, I'm now kicking myself for not going on here yesterday, and sleeping in til 10, and not watching 4kids now that there's no new TMNT...Acctually, I'm kicking myself for a lot of reasons. Man, I feel stupid.

I'll be looking forward to Monday, and I never thought I'd hear myself say that (see myself type that).
If only high school let out tomarrow instead of Tuesday. That would make Monday perfect (Why am I feeling sympathy for Monday? I must be going nuts! AHH!)

I think this will be the 2k3 Turtles (and maybe Splinter) dimension hopping and most of the 2k3 characters won't be there long (if at all). I do hope at least Splinter can join them if this is the case.

Just a thought, but could Mirage World be black and white? It'd make it obvious, maybe keep the 2k3 Turtles in color...I dunna....*shrugs*Shuting up.

That would be funny. Personally, I think over-emphasizing the B&W is a bit overkill, as if the Mirage universe actually existed in black and white, which is clearly not the case.

Now, it might be interesting if the OT/NT Turtles actually go to the Mirage universe and they themselves are temporarily black and white as long as they are in Mirage U., but do not realize the lack of color. Could create some interesting artistic direction.

Oh, Lordy, I HOPE not! (About the Mirage Turtles being shown in black-and-white, that is.) That WOULD be, as oldmanwinters says, a bit of overkill.

Personally, the way they look on the First Comics poster that hangs on my wall by my bed wouldn't be a bad look. Their skin-color in that is close to NT/2K3 Raph's, and would be nice.

(AND, of course, the all-red masks are an absolute MUST for the Mirage TMNT. Absolutely NO question on THAT one!)

I'm gonna assume the story involves the time scepter and alternate realities like in "Reality Check". If that's the case the turtles would meet their old toon selves in one episode, their Mirage selves in another and possibly all three would meet in the very last episode. Assuming Shredder is completely dead in the 2K3 world the Shredder of the old toon would most likley be the only Shredder in it, as he's dead in the Mirage universe too. Though I guess depending on when this all takes place Mirage Shredder might be in it. I know for a fact they're not going to not have Shredder. Even if there's other villains they could use.

I think this looks cool. This is really basically being made for us. Us a small group of die hard turtles fans. That's not many people so the fact it's happening is awesome and shows how much Laird cares about his fans. We all know he disliked the old toon but he accepts we like it. No one else but us die hard fans will appreciate this. 90% of the people who watch it probably won't get it. A few will go "oh he was in the old cartoon" but that's the most of it I'm sure considering it will be mostly kids who see this besides us.

Okay, so are we assuming that the 2k3 Turtles go the 80s Toon Turtles universe only? Or do the 80s Toon Turtles also come to the 2k3 universe as well?

Thanks LaurenBot. Anyone else think 88 Leo's head is small in the 2nd picture? Probably just the way he's posed in it. I'd love to have a HQ version of the Mikeys. That picture just sells the thing for me. I also love that they scaled the Turtles correctly. The 2k3 are 5'2" (give or take an inch because of the FF/CGI height change) and all of the 88 Turtles are 4". It looks like they're done this right animation wise (though I wish they used the season 1-5 designs instead, but these will do). Can't wait to see more!

Edit: And to think that Peter was probably planning this as far back as Comic Con 08 when I asked him if it was a possibility for the two universes to meet. His answer was guarded then . I even created a script for it. Old Toon Raph and Mikey had to rescue old toon Don from the Technodrome, with the help of new toon Raph and Don. Probably best that I didn't pitch that too them
