I just had a really annoying realization. I just noticed that I wrote Shredder and Krang completely out-of-character for this point in the show! Should I go back and edit all of their dialogue after the story is over, do it now, or should I just leave it the way it is?
Also, sorry about not posting for so long. I've been busier than normal. I promise that I will finish this story, though! I know I hate it when a fanfiction author quits. |

Well, it's up to you what you want to do. My advice would be to finish the story first and then edit as needed. They didn't seem too OOC to me though.

Like Christmas
Just continute. The show used both humor and more action-serious. I'm just happy reading some new good TMNT fanfiction based on the 1987 show. Whenever it comes new stuff on the Internet, it feels like being a kid at Christmas. A Christmas thad sadly doesn't even seem to occur once every year, but maybe even every 7th-8th year or something.

Not dead!
Red Shredder was laying low in an alleyway, trying to think of an idea to capture the Shredders without getting caught by the authorities. As far as he could tell, he would have to wait until one of the Shredders did something destructive.
“Bebop, Rocksteady,” he said, “we’re going to the Channel 6 building.” “Duh, we’re gonna capture that yellow chick again?” asked Bebop. “We’re getting sick of runnin’ around the city so much.” “Don’t worry about it. This plan is foolproof. We aren’t going to capture her, we’re going to protect her!” Red Shredder slunk out of the alley and stealthily started making his way to the building. “Red Boss has really lost his marbles,” said Rocksteady. “Duh, yeah,” said Bebop. When the cameras were no longer rolling, April O’ Neil didn’t have a reason to keep a smile plastered to her face. Knowing that Shredder, no, multiple Shredders, were on the loose, she felt nervous. April was no longer used to a life rife with danger. The Turtles and she did not work together much anymore. I really should contact the Turtles personally, she thought, looking out of her office window, but she knew somehow that calling them would just increase the likely-hood of her getting into trouble, and she had no desire to live a life like that anymore. “It’s times like these that I really wish I had taken some martial arts lessons with Splinter when I had the chance,” she said, depressed. Suddenly, a Shredder bust through her door! He seemed to be tinted—orange? April screamed as he lifted his clawed gauntlet. He reached out and harshly grabbed her wrist. “I hate you, you snooping reporter! I should stab you right through the heart as a message to those wretched reptiles, and for all those times you humiliated me!” Then, something made orange Shredder leap up and turn around—something had startled him. April looked past him, and there was red Shredder, as well as Bebop and Rocksteady, who were carried laser-cannons! Red Shredder whipped out something that looked like a gun, but when he pulled the trigger, it fired an electrified lasso. It wrapped around orange Shredder, pulling him away from April, shocking him in the process. He thrashed around a bit, but then red Shredder opened a dimensional portal and tossed him into it. “W-what’s going on here?” stammered April. “Saved by a Shredder?” “Well, don’t expect this sort of thing to happen often, Miss O’ Neil,” said red Shredder. “But I’m in charge of ‘collecting’ the other versions of myself, and you make lovely bait.” “Oh, great,” muttered April. “What a compliment.” Last edited by IcyKali; 10-25-2012 at 10:10 PM. |

Actually, it gets in the way of any TMNT fan fiction. I can attest to that.

Internet fan fiction
Not really always. The Internet is already lacking of 1987 cartoon TMNT fanfiction, and when something finally comes, it gets usually not completed. Compare this to other TMNT version where a lot of stories, completed, are around on the Internet.

As for why other people's TMNT fanfictions end up unfinished--maybe it's hard to capture the feeling of 80's TMNT without making it sound too silly? I think there are some missed opportunities for plots, though. That was why I tried to write this fanfiction, but writing for the characters, especially the villains, felt horribly awkward and uncomfortable for some reason. I understand why nobody writes fanfiction about 80's Shredder and Krang, now. But, I'll proofread and edit the chapters I have posted already (I probably have dialogue punctuation errors), even though I probably won't go back to this story for a while. EDIT: All chapters our proofread. It's embarrassing, but I had no idea how to punctuate dialogue until a few weeks ago, when my dad (who I have beta-read all my fanfiction) got fed up with me not knowing how. In this story alone I had a ton of mistakes! Last edited by IcyKali; 10-25-2012 at 10:23 PM. |

I remember reading that fanfiction.... I was annoyed that the author felt the need to describe who everybody was. I mean, if you're reading it, you probably know the characters, right?
Anyway, I'll PM you details, Jephael. I had some thoughts on how to continue the story that you should know, as well as how colors correspond to Shredders, etc.. |
