Batman and tmnt movie coming

https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/exclus...animated-movie

In 2015, the Dark Knight met the Heroes in a Half Shell on the comics page for the first time. Now, that same team-up is headed to animation with an all-star voice cast, and we've got an exclusive first look.

This spring, Warner Bros. Animation is teaming up with DC Entertainment and Nickelodeon for Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, an all-new animated movie that unites everyone's favorite turtles with the Caped Crusader for the first time outside of the comics page. Based on the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics miniseries by James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II, the film will see the turtles meeting Batman via a transdimensional encounter, and feature our heroes teaming up to face Batman's deadly rogues gallery.

Not sure where to put this

Hopefully this version of the turtles gets their own standalone film as well.

BATMAN / TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Crossover Being Adapted as Animated Film

Not sure if I put this in the right thread. If it isn't hopefully a mod can move it.

Quote:
James Tynion IV and Freddie Williams II's landmark 2015 crossover Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is being adapted as an animated film as part of a new partnership with DC and Nickelodeon. First reported by SYFY Wire, this cartoon feature is scheduled to be released on home video later this spring. The animation studio developing this film has not been disclosed.

IDW Publishing, who published the original 2015 Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book limited series, is not listed as being involved.

The cast includes frequent DC player Troy Baker, who will be voicing both Batman and the Joker in the film; while he has voiced both roles for seperate projects, this would be his first time doing both in the same project.

Baker will be joined by Darren Criss (Raphael), Kyle Mooney (Michelangelo), Baron Vaughn (Donatello), Eric Bauza (Leonardo), Rachel Bloom (Batgirl), Tom Kenny (The Penguin), John DiMaggio (Mr. Freeze), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy), Carlos Alazraqui (Bane), and Cas Anvar (Ra's al Ghul).

This wouldn't be the first cross-company crossover to be developed as a film - Dark Horse's 1989 Aliens vs. Predator limited series inspired several live action crossover films in the early 2000s.

There's already another thread and the movie doesn't seem to be tied to the Nick cartoon in any way. So yeah, this will probably get deleted or merged with the other one.

Anyway, that screenshot looks awful. I'll have to see it in action before fully judging it but I really don't dig the art style.

All right! We're finally getting an IDW story in animated form- even if it is the Batman team-up! Really looking forward to this, thoguh I do think the art style is a bit... weird.

IDW is the best version of TMNT

If they make a TMNT reboot movie retelling the shredder battle/origin, I won't buy a ticket.

Feel a bit nervous talking about this after my big mistake last year, when I leaked it here. The leaked info was from another chat room and I didn't realise it was private.

Not keen on the art style but maybe I will get used to it.

I like some of the voice cast (I don't recognise a few names), Leo being voiced by Eric Bauza is awesome.

Wasn’t the general consensus that we loved the art from the TMNT/Bat comic crossovers but the story was not well received? So if I’m reading correctly they kept the weakest part of the crossovers? How about vice versa that.

I do like that the turtles don’t have pupils. The colors seems off. I am glad we are getting something at least. Voice cast seems wonderfully solid.

edit: when I say colors I’m not talking about the turtles skin, just the background and general look, could be my phone screen though

Weird they'd go with the old blue Batman look, particularly standing next to hipster/New 52 Batgirl. That hasn't been a thing since the 90s in the comics.

Is the Robin Dick Grayson? Because he looks a little short next to Barbara there.

I'd guess Tim Drake.

No, that's totally Damian. Unless they're gifting his whole exact costume and look to Tim or Dick.

You're right, upon a second glance.

Burnside Batgirl, weird 90's action figure Batman, New 52 Robin.

And weird blockheaded Turtles.

Sorry, but the art sucks. Really, really sucks.
