Arcade 1 up TMNT machine - Page 5

I wonder if these will ever make it to the UK. I'd definitely be checking it out in person before buying as the display cabinets of Arcade 1UP cabs I've seen in stores have had quite poor sound compared to a real cab. Hopefully they fix it for the TMNT cab as the music, speech and sound effects were a big part of what made the original arcade game so iconic.

The official UK retailers listed on their website are Costco, Argos & Very, you might want to ask them.

It should be at least slightly better. I have the Street Fighter 2 cabinet and it's mono speaker only. The turtles cabinet should have stereo sound, dual speakers.

I haven't asked Costco but Argos and Very have no idea. Argos said their website will probably be updated with info before the product comes out but they probably won't know about it till then. Very didn't even think they stocked them at first till i showed them the web page.

As for the speakers. Yeah that must have been the issue with the ones I saw on display in Smyths toys and Fenwicks. I didn't think to look for dual speakers but the sound did sound very quiet and dull, if they were Mono that would explain it. I would hope they'd put a bit more effort in with future releases but I guess we'll have to see.

I hope it isn’t hard for arcade cabinet collectors to find the 1989 Konami original in the future. I know some of the younger online sellers can be indolent at times. It would be very unfortunate for a bidder who thinks they’re buying the 1989 original to get the Arcade 1 Up TMNT arcade cabinet instead of the 1989 original.

It should be very easy to tell if there are photos. No coin slots.

Doubt it. I haven't seen one single person bragging yet on multiple tmnt social outlets. Just a placeholder link.

Yeah I am sure because I had the placeholder link up and hit refresh over and over since yesterday and managed to get one myself. I didn't expect these to sell out this fast at 350.00 a pop.

Also I noticed my order says it arrives 11/21/19 but online shows these actually release 10/13/19 so who knows which day is accurate.

Haven't actually checked with them but I tend to find most of the big chains are the same over here, a lot of em don't have a clue. I'll check though.

Would be amazing to own my very own TMNT cabinet. I'd be a bit put off if it was mono sound only though. Will watch this with interest and see how they turn out.
