Turtles for Sale?

I don't know, I'm thinking of getting rid of all my ninja turtles, but only cuz i'm starting to actually get a life and I don't want people to remember me as the ninja turtle guy. Should I like hide my toys or just get rid of them? What have you guys done?

I have all my stuff packed in boxes up in the attic. If you do want to sell your stuff there's alway's eBay.

Yea, you might want to put them aside for now, becuase you don't know how you'll feel about it later. In my case, I was completely into turtles as a kid (like many of you), but when I was a teen and a bit older I didnt care at all about them. It wasnt until I was in college that I thought about TMNT again, and when I found that I still had ALOT of my old stuff around, I decdied to collect again, but this time as a collector. If I woulda tossed them like your thinking of doing, I would'nt have been able to do what Im doing today. So just think about, put em aside, and if later on you still have no care about them, sell them to ME!!

Dude, I have a life and I'm an avid TMNT fan. I'm PROUD to be know as *the* TMNT fan over at work. Sure they laugh and stuff, but WHO cares?
Keep the stuff, put it up in the attic and in 20 years you'll take it down and relive some fond memories.

Or you could give them to your kids if and when you get some, it'd probably save a lot of money, your kids would love you for it, and you've got a reward for when they behave.

You spent all the time collecting them just to sell them? Thats no fun! You should keep them. If your making friends or have a girlfriend and they cant accept that your a turtles fan then their no friend at all. I have a bunch! I display them proudly and no one minds. All my friends either dont say anything or comment on how cool it is I collect them. And their not turtles fans. Even my girlfriend was impressed by my collection(A first for me but still nice to know she accepts everything about me)
Its your descion but I know you spent alot of time collecting them and getting rid of them like this would be a shame. And liking turtles doesnt mean you cant still have a life

Well, first he said he didn't know what to do so I don't think we should all assume he's definitely going to get rid of them. Second, I'm sure the get a life comment was an off-color joke.

I agree with the idea of saving your collection until you've fully decided to part with it. Like buslady said, you could always store your stuff somewhere. If you decide to sell it now, you may regret it later. Wait a while before you're 100% sure that you're ready to let go.

I store a lot of my turtle stuff out of sight, mainly because I'm running out of space. I have one shelf at home dedicated to TMNT stuff, and I change the display whenever I'm bored. In my appartment, I've dedicated a small corner to show some of the new TMNT action figures, as well as several posters. I'm also known as the "TMNT dude" in my circle of friends, but they're all accepting of it, especially since each of them have their own fandoms (ie. Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc).

What the shell? people have to accept that people collect TMNT figures? What's to accept? It's not like your doing anything weird or anything. The shell with anyone who doesn't like someone because they collect something. It's your life, you live your life to please yourself, not other people. If you like them then collect them and keep them.

i know i regret getting rid of my old TMNT figures. I wish i'd stored them rather than sale them before we moved to Italy when i was 13.

Yeah so I guess I should keep all the stuff just like in my basement huh? I might get rid of SOME stuff but that's onyl cuz i have sooooo much, like you wouldn't believe how much crap i've saved over 18 years of life.

I would keep 'em if I were you.I have a lot of 'em and I have a top of a dresser with a couple of TMNT figures on it.If you sell 'em your gonna fell like a heel.If you sell 'em to a person on eBay and they give the toys to their kid then the (little)kid might not care about the figures and break 'em and whatnot.I would only give 'em away if it was for like Goodwill or somethin' like that.You gotta keep 'em and keep collectin' figures.I tell people I collect action figures and they don't ruin my life over it.KEEP THE FIGURES ECTO!If you don't you'll regret it.

I cannot say for sure but in the end you are most likely going to miss them. I only had figures until I was about six years old. My parents never bought me any because "it wasn't proper for a girl" and I had a best friend who was a guy purely out of our love for ninja turtles.

Over a decade later, out of nowhere I started looking for them and now have the collection I never was allowed to have as a kid. I have them displayed neatly in a display case and on the walls and overall, my friends and boyfriend love them. It reminds them of their childhood too.

If you are going to part with them, there are many great homes for them, but at least put a few of your favorites in a shoe box in the closet just in case you get that little inkling for them again!
