New Werewolf movie in pre-production!
Quote:
James DeMonaco, the writer behind the upcoming "remake" of Assault on Precinct 13, is still waiting for his long-sold werewolf movie, Skinwalkers to get made into a feature film. Fango found it among his credits today and a reason why it may finally happen.
Seems this one’s gotten some major players involved, namely David Cronenberg and Stan Winston as producers (odd combination, that), but the writer (DeMonaco) and director (Jim Isaac, pictured, director of Jason X who was first attached to this project back when it was originally announced in May of 2002) are still on board.
The story revolves around two groups of werewolves that are constantly at odds with one another, with one group embracing their nature and the other fighting it tooth and nail (pun intended). Hopefully with two proponents of “real” effects as producers, this won’t be a CGI-transformation fest like the rest of the upcoming werewolf flicks seems to be.
