Bewitched the movie

Those who know me well know that I love my classic 1960's sitcoms. Maybe it was the fact that they were just innocent and silly, or maybe it's because I grew up watching them. so when I first heard that there was going to be a Bewitched movie in June, I got really excited! The cast sounded so-so (Will Farrel and Nicole Kidman) but I was willing to let that slide and see it anyway.

Then I heard the story... It's about a TV producer wanting to remake Bewitched, and unknowingly Hires a real witch to play the role of Samantha.

That just sounds... yeah...

...Leave these shows alone. Please.

Remakes of Sit-Coms do not make good movies. Repeat: remakes of Sit-Coms do not make good movies

I dont understand why they went along with this story for the movie, I mean, Think about it, The show did had a story, About a guy whose wife happens to be a witch, It wouldve been interesting to see the story about a guy who falls for a girl, They get married, then soon he finds out shes a witch, Why couldn't they do it that way?

Because, for Hollywood, it's been done a billion times.

Bewitched's premise was always pretty generic and dull, but the comedy was there to disguise it well.

I saw some preview stuff. I'm not sure any amount of Will Ferrell hissyfits will save this one (and this preview showed a lot of them...)

Potentially, a Bewitched movie could be a really good comedy. (But first you'd have to get rid of Will Ferrel to have any comedy at all) Then second, Just base it on the TV show...

That's crazy talk. Will Ferrell is a comic genius, although when he misfires he really misfires.

Who would you suggest? Ben Stiller?

I dunno, I'm just not a big Will Ferrell fan. Ben Stiller was great back in the Early 90's though

I guess to give the devil his due, when he is on, he's On. (ferrell that is)

Jim Carrey would have made a great Darrin.
