Michael Jackson

Discuss his music and the trial he is going through. Make sure there is no fighting, take people's opinions like adults. This section is pretty dead so I thought this topic would get people posting in here.

Jackson is a complete freak. In the negative way. That being said, he's also an awesome musician who has written some of the greatest pop music ever.

I agree, he has written some of THE best music. Catchy and likeable. I just... feel bad for him, I think. I think that his lack of childhood and normal life really ruined alot for him.

I'm not saying whether I think he's guilty or not... I just think you can SEE how his lifestyle (as in, child star, being made to practice, etc.) has mentally affected his life.

I saw a documentary on his life that was very interesting.

I never dug his music, but half of that I blame on my parents. I built up a great unfounded dislike for any music my parents would listen to, for my dad had a life-long love affair with his "repeat" button. Plus, by the time I actually started developing my own taste for music (mid-late 90s or so), Jackson was somewhat old hat.

Though the Jackson Five stuff is pretty awesome. Classic stuff.

EDIT: Oh yeah. The trial. Yesterday on Law and Order, they had an episode that somewhat mirrored the Jackson molestation trial and ordeal. Famous celebrity, hanging babies out of windows (cept this time, the baby dropped to his certain death), sick kids, elaborate playrooms, money grubbin' parents, the whole works. The following story is fictional and does not depict any actual person or event, my ass.

He's the King of Pop, and whatever messed up sh*t he's in, I really don't care. I'm always going to think he's the man.

Well, MJ is a difficult person. He is a complete lunatic without any sense of reality. He did achieve great things concerning the music. I never really liked his music, but I do respect his awesome talent.

Well, as for the trial.I really don't think that he's guilty. I mean, in that "Neverland Report"-thing he claimed to be Peter Pan. Peter Pan is the leader and the protector of the lost boys, not their sexual partner.

I agree with you on this one, buddy. Although I've heard rumors that a lot of the things he does, like the unnaturally high voice, is just to grab attention. I have no proof to back that up.

I've got the same feeling. He was just such a talented singer and dancer it was unbelievable. All these allogations laid on him and they were all false, then finally something solid hits him, and everything goes whack. I feel sorry for him, I ain't saying I like child abuse or anything, its a terrible thing, but he doesn't deserve this treatment. Aren't we supposed to help him? How can you help a man when there are tv shows constantly making fun of him, and so much media coverage he can't have a fair trial.

Michael Jackson is a beautiful person, and it absolutely infuriates and sickens me that so many people get off on picking on his insecurities. He's had a hard life, and his head is already messed up, and after all he's tried to do for the world, all they can do now is laugh at him because his nose is different. That's ********. One thing's certain, though. Mike needs to learn to pick his friends better.

I am a solid hater of pop music, but even I gotta admit that Micheal's music is godly. His life was screwed up, so he's screwed up. You don't blame people for things they can't help. His music is immortal. *sets Moonwalker Genesis cart on monitor*

Being famous and drastically altering your physical appearence is only going to make you the punchline of many a joke. The public spotlight is a cruel place, and famous people are under constant scrutiny.

I agree with everyone else in this thread, his music is excellent.

I hate to hear people say his music sucks just because of his life. "Why do you like that? He's a sicko!" Well the music is too good not to listen to, but most people won't even try it because it's the wrong thing to do.

I have the same feeling towards Michael Jackson as everyone else in this thread does. He's an emotionally sad man with a big heart. His music is incredible too.

I say death to all who are against the King of pop!

Great Music but Very Bad Emotional Problems, I blame everything that has happened to him on Joe Jackson and I agree that Micheal deserves some time to himself to get all the Late night talkshow hosts off his Back.

We still have Tito to make fun of.

As a performer, I think he is a genius and I love his work.

As a person, he's clearly very mentally damanged and needs help (before anyone flames I mean that in a non hateful way).

As for the whole trial thing...I tend to believe in Innocent until proven Guilty.

Um... I personally never liked MJ's music. Also, he sickens me. I DO think he is guilty for child molestation.

Based on what evidence or clue?

if the district attorny didnt think they had enough evidence to bring charges against micheal then i would also say hes innocent. and if back in 93 he didnt pay that kids family off i would think hes innocent. but in my opinion hes a child molester.

its a shame too, because he is such a talent. when it comes to music.

That's what bugs me the most. If he was innocent, why for god's sake did he pay that family that much money?
