As opposed to waking up at 1:36 PM?

Well all it means for now is one less hour in the day and we get to make up that hour when it ends in November.

My condolences... I guess.

Hey, I had to be at work at 8am, not getting enough sleep because of it, but also had to cut short my one day off yesterday and was kinda ticked off about that last night. After being dragged around going places with my mother until after 6pm yesterday I felt like I hardly got a day off to rest my damn feet.

How much I'd have loved to just sleep in and wake up 'too late' due to the time change. Rather than waking up at a time which yesterday existed as 5am... (Though if anyone missed TMNT because of it, well, I can have sympathy there, being forced to miss it myself.)

I hate the feeling when you sleep late and then realize half the day is gone. WASTED. You don't get that time back.

Totally over.

Being the night owl sort, in the evenings I'm more inclined to look at the clock and see that it's only 7 or 8pm and feel happy that it's still so early.

I don't often sleep until 2pm or later anymore (not with the work schedule being what it is), but typically I don't mind missing mornings at all.

I oddly feel "more awake" during late night than in early morning, but the real world doesn't work around these schedule's unless you have the night shift at your job or something.

Plus when you have to visit family/friends, etc. who you generally meet during the day or early morning, its hard to adjust.

DST is mostly defunct (from its -then- original purposes) now. It shouldn't have to be a thing anymore.

If it was up to me, then I'd say the week following a time change should be a federal holiday. Everyone gets a week off to reorient themselves to the new time.

Years of nightshifts screwed me up, but it's nice to be up with the sun.

No Native American has said that ever; at least, not about a blanket.
They'd have to survive the blanket first.

IIRC it was Sitting Bull (I think?) and he said white man not government. But yeah it is a quote.

And I've got you ALL beat! I usually get up at 3:30 AM. Due to DST it was 2:30 this morning. Immediately following my day off which I spent walking all over town to my game, lunxh, and buying groceries.
