Volume 5 August 29th*Cover Image as well*

Wow they made a new cover

And it looks old toon! Sweet? I'd say so. August is around the same time the next new toon DVD comes out too.

Corporate Raiders From Dimension X
Pizza By The Shred
Super Bebop And Mighty Rocksteady
Beware The Lotus
Blast From The Past
Leatherhead
Michaelangelo's Birthday
Usagi Yojimbo
Case Of The Hot Kimono
Usagi Come Home
The Making Of Metal Head
Leatherhead Meets The Rat King

YES it has 2 of my favorite episodes on it. I love this volume already.

Meh, the cover art seems to me like more of the same ****. Episode line-up is superb, though.

Still, it's obvious they're trying to fool little kids into thinking these are new toon DVDs...I dunno, Raphael just doesn't look right in that pic. Sure, it's better than the previous DVD covers, and finally they replaced the new toon's brown pads with bandana-coloured ones, but it still isn't respectful enough to our beloved old cartoon. The only good cover was that of Volume 1, and that's the truth.

whoa, all of those episodes are awesome. They're all my faves. Even the Hot Kimono episode was cool just because of that 'Kimono Sam is your man' commercial the turtles made. LOL

The cover looks alot better than the past covers.

With the old school logo? Could've fooled me mister.

This looks better than 90% of the previous covers, Star Wars fans complain about George Lucas, we complain about covers. Unbeleivable.

With the exception of the first cover, these are all u-g-l-y! Seriously, talk about messing up a classic. I would have been happy if they reused the classic covers instead of this joke of an artist. Whats up with Raphael, he looks like he dislocated/broke his left arm! Jeez, they need to use someone with some drawing experience.

How're they messed up? They're watchable aren't they? And of course they're going to try and get kids in, they're a big company who wants to make money, but at least they're a big company that puts out a decent product.

That cover looks all right to me. Raph's expression makes him look very serious. I feel behind in terms of the DVDs cuz I didn't get Volume Four yet cuz my local Best Buy hasn't re-stocked 'em yet. Hopefully they'll have Volume Four when Volume Five comes out, so I can buy both at the same time.

The episode I'm really looking forward to is Corporate Raiders From Ddimension X. I've seen that one before and it was a really good episode. That's so funny when Casey goes to apply for a job. I'd say that's the favorite episode of mine on the disc.

I beg to differ. I don't remember the old toon turtles having such prominent chins.

Well seeing as one of the covers was just Donatello's face extremelt zoomed in, this one is an improvement.

As for the pic, not just Raph's chin, look at his chest shellplate. What happened to the rest of it?

Meh, whatever. An old toon DVD semi-packaged to look like new ones is better than no DVD at all.

Why not just use the old artwork from all the old Turtles VHS tapes? I'd rather that than this wierd-looking crap...

Re

I have a feeling they may have lost the rights to that artwork, FHE (not Lions Gate Entertainment) distributed the tapes.

Well, I never had a problem with any of the covers. The DVDs are all pretty cheap and they all have a ton of episodes on them, so who cares about the covers?

That said, this is probably the worst cover yet.

yea I agree with you I don't really care but it is bad art work...it looks like how the turtles would look if they had been on family guy with that nutsack chin lol

What I think should happen is:

Once all Season 3 involved volumes have been released, shortly after having done that, they release all of those volumes in a box set and include a bonus disc of which blows the Turtles wide open!

You know; interviews with the people behind the Turtles, toy commercials, retro videogame playing hints etc.
