Official NEW EPISODE discussion: "Home Invasion"

Can I start a new official ep thread? Can I can I? ...too late, just did it.

www.ninjaturtles.com says:

"Raphael is impatient with the highly automated future – especially when Cody builds the Turtles a new Dojo complete with realistic holographic simulation battle programs. Unfortunately, a malicious living computer virus named Viral takes over Cody’s building, and traps the Turtles inside the Dojo. Raph’s worst fears are realized when the simulations are turned into a deadly prison, and the Turtles have to fight for their lives!"

Sounds much more interesting than the previous two ones to me. More action and less chit-chatting. I wonder who unleashed that virus... Mr. Dunn, perhaps?

I think this episode sounds like it could turn out to be very good.
Even if the turtles have their own danger room now lol

I was afraid that this would turn like the classic, ''robots takes over town'' scenario, but I must admit that it sounds better than that. A tmnt danger room, I say yes, bring it.

I just hope that Cody won't be the damned ''oh no help me guys'' in this episode... Make him shut the friggin ''Viral'' (original name...heavy sarcasm). He will atleast do something interesting. I would prefer him as the hero this time than the helpless kid.

So come on, bring'em on, lets see what the future has in stock for us !

Mikey's more of a Nightcrawler than Iceman.

This really sucks...I missed last week's episode because of work, and tomorrow I'll be missing this one because of a stupid haircut. Just my luck that the only available time was this Saturday at 11.

'Guess I'll have to pop in a cassette and tape the darn thing.

I honestly haven't checked out Fast Forward yet, missed out on the first two episodes... but this episode does sound interesting enough to watch, IMO.

Nightcrawler, definatly.

And dare I say Cody will be Jean Grey? I wonder what will happen with that?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*everyone is killing Cody, who keeps on coming back to life over and over, and is talking non-stop about his stupid life*
Cody: And then he said, she said, they said, we said, I said, Uncle said, Pie said....
Raph: Damnit, why won't this kid die?!
I think Don would be more like Forge, with all the gadgets he creates.
Were those the Cowboys of Moo Mesa?
...Anyway... like the last two, I thought this sucked. I spent the whole time completely bored and not caring at all what happened. I can't explain how badly I dislike this, how horrible it is. There's nothing fun in it for me anymore. I didn't even crack a smile. I spent the episode just waiting for it to be over. I hated it, and I won't waste my time on things I hate anymore.
This is strike three for me. Someone tell me when this atrocity is over. Let me know when we get back to the actual series. (If that is possible now that it's become THIS pile of... well, you know.)
...I think I'm too old for this now...
ewwwwwww...
This episode had some potential, but still, overall, I have been underwhelmed by the show. I agree with Raph, i hate the future...at least so far...
Couple things. There was the HUGE potential for some emotion when they were going through the "holo zones" and were once in the old New York streets...and once in the old Lair. I really wanted that "awwwww man," factor with the lair...but they barely batted an eye.
Ugh...Cody's training starts. SO not what I wanted. And Splinter calling him Cody-san...UGH.
Splinter just gave up after a hit. Never should have happened. He lay down like a dead fish. Now we have two damsels in distress.
The Cowboys of Moooooo Mesa? It was funny that Mikey said they had been transported into a Saturday morning cartoon...cause in a way, that's what happened. we traded bad ass for Cheese. (Rob? Make a cameo in this? ) Also the Leprechaun fight at the beginning was the biggest cheese fight yet.
more old show like dialog too...I may have to destroy Mikey for that alone.
and...a new villan...who has potential..I hope
PLEASE HELP ME GET THE SONG OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!
Is Master Splinter going to sneak off to watch his soaps during every episode?
I liked when Donnie jumped. That totally surprised me. The next thing that surprised me was that... Virus... assumed it was suicide!!?
Note to self: Next time you are terrorizing people and can't find them, check the kitchen cabinet. They're always in there.
Katie, I learned my lesson LAST week. I muted the opening song! I liked it when Splinter called him Cody-san, but the whole 'training' thing was lame. Stop talking about it, just DO it. And yeah, I think Raphie has a new catch phrase...
So, what's up with this episode...
It was ok. Nothing special, except that we saw the real bad guy behind all of it. Cody was not too annoying, just enough
Viral was an average bad girl, the now classic Virus taking over... Was not too bad.
And we really saw how kiddy this show is when splinter got shocked, instead of expressing pain, like he used to, he did a face that I don't want ever see him do again. I hated that, and also the fact that he did not participate in today's episode. I mean come on, we want to see some rat here.
I also found the begining weak, Leo making all of those ''I will have to lower my defense..'' jokes, while fighting little elfs...
But is it me, or those bulls (you know, there's a blue one, a yellow and a red one) in the saloon, had their own cartoon in the early 90's ? I'm pretty sure I saw them before today's episode. I smilled when I saw them, I'm sure I saw them before.
And finally, Serling ! Yeah I liked Serling in this one, all mad and destructing alot of stuff. Go Serling ! He was made to be a bad guy.
So yeah, the best FF episode yet. But still... Not there just yet. Atleast, there was no Biggles..
P.S. Now I know where I saw those bulls, thanks guys.
I think Raphael said it best....twice, "I hate the Future!"
Well....it wasnt that bad. I havent seen the first 2 episodes so I didnt know if there was anything is particular i should have known before. I dont remember Leo taunting during battle like he did at the beginning of this one, and Raph seemed too angry. Splinter had a huge head. Animation not as good. It still has slight potential....
but, just judging on the synopsises, especially from episode 2, it sounds like the whole series is about the turtles trying to get back home, so there is a little ray of sunshine there....
yay! no constable biggles!!!! woo hooo! Im 99% certian that those were the Cowboys of Moo Mesa in the saloon.
and the song...I tried to mute it on the opening, but throuout the show they use that one part...the part in the song where they sing "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" THAT sticks in my head all the time. I was at work the other day and found myself humming it
Ohhh..and on music...did anyone else notice we got the shredder doom theme in this one?
Yeah I wasn't too sure if I heard it or not. But that music doesn't belong in this show...
no..it definitely does not. But I was SO hoping for a Karai or Shredder appearance when i heard that music...I didn't even care what kind of out of story stuff that would bring. *sigh*
BTW, the more I think about that "we've been transported into a Saturday morning cartoon" crack....the more I think it's the writers saying "we are SO sorry for this...but the network made us do it"
