Hey, I've seen that exhibit! Both of them, actually (if that's the National Zoo).

You captured Mikey from a scary angle. Great pictures.

Aww give the podocs some privacy! hahaha
They actually look like they're basking.

That mikey is scary looking, I dunno...it just looks like a dead mounted Mike...I don't think I wanna see that. Looks like a movie2 costume w/ stunt head?

Those pics are pretty nice, Spitfire. Looks like you had fun there. I'll have to see that exhibit one of these days.

Questions:
1: Um...Why are there Marvel comics in front of Michelangelo?

2: Mythological creatures? Which mythology? Closest thing to mutant turtles in mythology is the Native American legend of the Mud Turtle....

ooooh brings back memories.

I visited all the Smithsonians back in October while I was visiting my cousin. Pretty silly to see me dragging his 22 year old behind around the mall while I rambled on and on about the TMNT stuff Did I mention I was soaking wet from the pouring rain (we forgot our umbrellas) and those museums are SUPER COLD.

It was cool to see the costume...but it was kinda creepy looking.

I don't know I thought it was stupid too. But atleast he's there. I think he should have been in the Amercian pop culture section though to be honest...

Anyways if you guys want to see it yourselves you might be out of luck. Their closing the place for a year to re-do it(actully they did the week after I was there* so they might remove that display.

Oh and it looks like Dan posted one on the official site

That costume appears to be Mikey from the 3rd movie not the second. Look at all the spots and the shiney skin, thet is defanantly not the second movie and for sure the 3rd.
