TMNT Vol. 6 Coming Dec. 5th!

That's what Amazon tells. Though they note it as 'Season 6' (but a look at the info for it - especially the fact of Lion's Gate being the studio - confirms the next Original TMNT).
So looks like the next Classic Turtles will be coming out in time for Christmas.

Welcome. And yes, is great news.

Now, of course, just need to know the Lost Season's DVD release and be good-to-go for now (til the next Original TMNT, and start of Fast Forward coming to DVD, at least).

Are you completely sure they where refering to the classic series release? The December date sounds about right, but if it said season six it may have been refereing to the Ninja Tribunal season.

I had thought that too (when first saw the listing), so that's why I checked the release info Amazon puts with each DVD listing. And, since the studio releasing this one is Lion's Gate (and not Funimation), it's of the Original TMNT Series.

If it were Ninja Tribinal sesaon it would be called season 5 rather than sesaon 6. Navarre.com also says Vol. 6 released in december by Lions Gate.

So it is listed as:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 6 (Full)

So can we assume that it is the whole season?

Studio: Lions Gate
DVD Release Date: December 5, 2006
Run Time: 289 minutes

No, it's probably just the last 11 episodes of season 6.

More likely it's noting of "Full" is in reference to Full Screen. And this next DVD would be the remainder of Season 3 (as it's supposed to be Volume 6, not Season 6).

That ironically makes it a full season, on DVD. Season 3 that is.

Wow, that's cool news...Wasn't the wait between DVD releases longer in the past? Wasn't Volume 5 released, like, yesterday?

Pretty much

We had to wait a year between 1 and 2.

Awesome. I can't wait.

I posted the news over at Forever Geek, just like I did when Vol. 5 was announced. (http://forevergeek.com/cartoons/tmnt...lease_date.php)

Hopefully this will spur a few more people to pick up the DVD and we might get some later seasons.

I guess they realized they need to speed up the releases if they ever want to get the whole show out.

Season 4 has friggin 45 episodes, it's going to take us forever to get through that.

Ooh, I wish I could resist... This season is actually 39 eps. There were 13 syndicated that season, and CBS's 26-ep premiere season. I think it's safe to say that it will span three 13-ep volumes. While I wouldn't count on it, maybe they'll release the CBS bunch in a 2-disc set. That would certainly cut down on the time it takes to get through the series.
