Save the Jagwar Campaign

Ok guys it's time once again to start sending off e-mails to Playmates Toys.

As you may or may not know they recently canceled an action figure of a long time fan favorite Jagwar.
We've all done this before and it got us a much better Baxter Stockman figure.

I'm not about to allow Jagwar to see the fate of a slew of other characters Playmates never released.

So it's time to gather our fan power up and write letters expressing how much we want this toy to be released.

There are a few things you can do:

1. Contact Customer Service here:
CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE PAGE

2. E-mail them here:
toys@playmatestoys.com

3. Snail Mail them here:
Playmates Toys, Inc
Attn: Consumer Service
611 Anton Blvd. Ste. 600
Costa Mesa, CA 92626

I sent my E-mail, and also addressed my anger at the cancellation of the FF line. I want the rest of my FF figures, their way nicer then the ugly movie ones.

Thanks guys I sent in about the last batch of Fast Forward figures as well.
I made sure to send them the logo I made also so they know exactly what I was talking about.
I really hope all of you send in letters expressing how you feel.
The more letters they get from differnt people the better our chances are at getting this figure.

here is a reply from the e-mail i gots

Thanks for your comments and dedication to Jagwar, indeed he is a great character and deserves his chance on the toy aisle. However, Playmates Toys in conjunction with Mirage Studios, the rights-holders to all things TMNT, must abide by certain guidelines set forth by creator Peter Laird. Peter is especially fond of Jagwar and a select group of other TMNT characters, and as such, wants to wait for the perfect time to release any product representing their likeness. While we arenít sure when this time will be, we understand that keeping Jagwar and other such characters out of the lime-light for now will actually maintain the unique value they hold in the TMNT universe. Rest assure, your dedication has not gone unnoticed and when the time is right, Jagwar will come full swing again in the world of TMNT. Hopefully our efforts to maintain the integrity of Jagwar and other such characters will result in something thatís worth waiting for!

Thanks, Paula Billingsley

Yeah She's sending it to all of us.
It's a straight up copy and paste job.

Well it would be silly to try and personalize a respone to a question 100 different ways.

If you believe that then five e-mails wouldn't sway their decision anyway.

The issue isn't that the reply was the same for everyone, it's that the reply does nothing to address the actual issue. I'm gonna try following-up with Paula, even though it's likely to go no where.

Sure it does. Peter hasn't given them permission.

That's what it would seem to be but Murphy says it's Bull.

I emailed Paula again, and got a reply back nearly instantaneously...

The first statement I sent to you came from the marketing and Mirage Studios, I donít know what else to tell you. I will forward your email to them again.
Curious...

Curious...
Either she is bull faced liar, or Murphy is in the Dark and Peter is up to his old tricks again.
Or a third thing has popped into my mind that perhaps they are waiting to see how well the mirage neca figures do to release archie and old toon characters.
& I'm sure all of our letters are annoying her but hey it's her job, if she doesn't like it she shouldn't work in customer services.

I don't think she's a liar; I think she's just doing her job. I reallyreally hope it's not Peter...

This is true and she could just be saving her butt by saying that.
But what else could it be..and I mean you think Murphy would have said a bit more...me thinks something is up.

Ugh, I love how she didn't even address my other question. I replied back asking she tell me more about the FF line. To be honest I'm more interested in that then these movie figures.

Did Paula get married? This is an email I received in May regarding the state of TMNT figures in general:

Quote:
Thank you for the comments and I will forward to the marketing group for their consideration.

Weird.

I'm starting to seriously wonder...if some one namely Murphy know stuff that he's not telling us.
She says the letter was written by Mirage right ok then they want to make Jagwar and other characters correctly?
Ok so does this mean they are working on a real retro line then?

Unless there are 2 differnt ones or it's a fake name because she's signed e-mails to me from both those names.

Sounds like your typical corporate ******** to me. Let's not skirt around the issue lady. All this is is going to be a finger pointing match until we get the true story on it (IF we do). I'm sure most of us are more prone to believe Murphy (rightfully so) than some Paula Billingsleyworth Shimizuzu.
