Stan Sakai drew me a Donatello pic!

So yup, Stan Sakai visited Warsaw yesterday and I brought my sorry ass to the place where he signed his books. Everyone asked for either Usagi or some Usagi-related characters, I asked for Donatello. Stan said it was quite a novelty for him, since he always draws Leo, if any fan asks him to draw a ninja turtle at all. Oh well. But he drew it for me and now I'm one happy son of a bitch.

Here are the pics:

Spoiler:

A standard Usagi, drawn for almost everyone who had no specific request. Some people got that extra lizard if Stan liked them better for some reason.

This is a result of a request done by Steve, a fellow American UY fan. He asked me to buy him a copy of the latest UY and ask Stan for a dedication. Stan LOLed when he heard who had such a request and drew a "Polish-related" Usagi in this copy. Oh well. Seems he knows way too well what this demented nation is up to.

DONATELLO! The sole excuse for me to post it all in here. Drawn in the Polish edition of "Shades of Death". Notice how well both pics correspond with each other - as if both Don and Usagi were charging or something.

Stan busy drawing the said Don for me. <3

Stan busy drawing something else, but this time he has his head back.

The whole signing took place in a rather small, yet quite well equipped comic book store.

And now me with Stan!

Spoiler:
Are you really sure you want to see it?

Really?

Like, "reallyreally"?
Spoiler:
'Kay, I'll let you have it... almost here!

Very last chance to withdraw!

Rock. Question though: Were you sitting on Stan's lap or is he just that much shorter than you? Sorry to be getting into your personal affairs like that... I just had no idea he was THAT short or that you're THAT tall.

That is really great Rob! Love all the pics, especially the one he drew of Don for you. That pose next to Usagi is awesome!

LOL - great use of spoiler tags.

Looks like it was a fun signing!!

Last year at Comic-Con when I just asked Stan to sketch in my sketch book, without being specific about what to sketch, he drew me a Leonardo. My book is filled with lots of Ninja Turtles and Stan had previously drawn several Usagis in my book, so it was neat to see him draw Leo.
