Finally have some news on the next DVD for Classic TMNT--

Damn, they're really stretching out the releases of the rest of the show, aren't they?

I guess this gives more time for people to convince them to put the skipped eps, "Planet of the Turtleoids" and "Once upon a Time Machine."

Maybe?

It probably won't happen.... but if that IS the reason why it took so long, then it's still good news.

Yeah, with so many episodes already likely to be on this Set probably wouldn't get those put with it. More likely with one of the remaining Seasons (since they're so short).

This just went from being a Christmas gift to a birthday gift.

They must have been reading, "How to Schedule a Release: The Wrong Way."

Almost a year later.

Almost a year later. With this speed, it will be completed by 2012.

Well, assuming someone actually manages to contact them and convince them, that is.

2012

By 2012 the 2003 cartoon will probably have ended, and the TMNT interest will probably decline again. Do you think the entire 1987 cartoon ever will be completed to DVD.

I doubt it'll take that long. Since only have a total of 4 more Seasons, with most of them being very short.

I hope that. They could release season 8-10 together, since they don't have so many episodes.

LionsGate - Or why TMNT Licensee's suck...

Murphy posted on his blog back in April that we could expect TMNT Season 7 on DVD in November. With possible season set or 'collector' discs released for the 25th anniversary.

Now we wait all summer, and no news is in site. At least until TVShowsOnDVD posts their latest news item today.

Rumor has it, on condition of anonymity, that we can expect it to be released on March 10th..

There is only one reason why I could think of this being delayed for so long, and it's not because of the anniversary of the turtles franchise. Could it be the un-cut European episodes actually need some cleaning up after all this time? Or worse, are they having problems actually FINDING the original masters of those episodes, since they came out of no where to air on USA, maybe they where not well kept track of...

Or, it could be that all TMNT Licensee's like to make us suffer through sub par products, schedules, and ideas ....

Your thoughts?

I dropped Murphy a suggestion that could solve the problem of the missing episodes and reasonably satisfy all parties not too long ago. Dunno if it'll end up going anywhere, though.

There has been some information (posted on here at one time) that the Seasons would be released seperately.

They could at least have the same release date.

What the mother f**k? Seriously... 1 damn year between releases now? I can't ****ing believe this anymore.... the fact that season 7 is so awesome makes this hurt even more.

I mean wating from April to December would be unreasonable enough, but we're TMNT fans... we can take that... but April to March? Give me a mother ****in break!

Am I the only one who appreciates they are continuing releases instead of releasing nothing? Who cares how long it takes, as long as we get it. 5 years ago, we didn't have any episodes on DVD, and now we have 6 VERY full seasons. Be grateful...

On another note:

How much do you all want to bet in the end Lionsgate will release a mega set with every season and bonus materials (like BTAS) and all of us loyal customers will be forced to double dip at an inflated price or miss out on a great set.
