Good to see part 2 wasn't the end of it.

None of that was informative to why the animation of the Turtles is quote, "25 years and going strong."

I was looking forward to seeing what the future had in store for the TMNT.

They kept saying "8 seasons" but if BTTS is the last, isn't that 7? Does that mean there is another season?

Thanks Vegita! I can't wait to see the rest, but don't rush yourself (I've been overworking a lot recently too...last night I was up until 4am ) :3

I think other people are confused thinking FF was 2 seasons. After all, it was 26 episodes split up into 2 13 episode segments, and while over 13 aired in one TV season, the remainder aired the following season. So it's probably 8 broadcast seasons on a technicality that they're counting.

Unless the real season 7 was the episodes for FF they didn't get to go into production. You know the REAL lost season.

I think that's the real reason.

They aren't sure whats going on, Someone mentioned its like this for most of the seasons but nothing to this extent.

They are however very excited about the movie length episode they are working on. Its supposed to be finished by June, it may debut at the SDCC this year and it deals with new characters meeting up with some older characters. Thats all they would say other than its pretty much seems to be the favorite 2K3 project for the majority of the panel. I'm buying my SDCC ticket Friday lol.

Also keep your eye out for the Rat King.

Not... gonna...happen. Straight from Laird's Mouth himself. BTTS? A-th-th-the-the-the-the-That's All Folks.

I wonder if they were actually planning to announce that during SDCC, since that one's the big event where they usually unveil plans for everything.

New characters meeting old characters? Gah...This dtv is the one tmnt thing I'm pretty excited about right now, but as much as I love the old toon....I just don't get excited over them meeting up with 2k3 turtles. I am just having trouble thinking of a good story that could come out of that.... I rather see a remake of "The River" or something comic related. Merging old and new tmnt just seems kinda silly..

"Were the silly ninja turtles! :p!"

"oh ya? turtles count it off!!!"

...Still keeping faith if the writers and producers are pretty excited about it though.

^^^^^

Hmmm... This makes me wonder if maybe we are jumping the gun a bit.

Sure it could be over, but Laird did mention the words "for now," which to me means either -

1. A new season could be produced at anytime between now and September.

2. A new series will come some years down the line.

Funny thing is that when someone says, as of now, that could mean anything.

Guess only time will tell.

Still boggles me with the whole "25 years and going strong," in terms of animation. If it were really ending, that wouldn't be showing how strong it is correct?

What also boggles me is this Rat King nonsense. If there are only two episodes left, how can we get a Rat King episode?

Also, how will we see the Shredder War from the start of season 8?

They want to premiere it at SDCC.

It may not be like that exactly. They wouldn't really elaborate. It could very well be them introducing 2k3 versions of Bebop and Rocksteady or using the Technodrome or something like that. All I know is that it involves multiple old school characters.

DTV maybe...if this DTV is going to be the last go for the 2K3 show then they are likely trying to go out with a bang so who knows what characters may show up.

I think I would faint from how awesome that would be.

Bad-ass reboots of Bebop and Rocksteady are long overdue.
